Condition wise it has a few little dings here and there from regular use but nothing horrendous. Looking for £450 including a padded gig bag or would trade for a standard precision, an aerodyne precision or an aerodyne jazz. I'm based in Whitley Bay but work in Richmond(North Yorks) Mon-Fri. 2.
Yes! In the meantime I'm on all three, as well as on real life
Full on in real life!
 3. Not only do I waste entire evenings on BC, but it's opened up a new social life for me where I actually get out the house, meet real people and listen to their music. BC's enough for me. I think there will be a point where BC overtakes Twatter and Facebunk
 4.
....skiddy burst I call it....
I've heard it called 'Turdburst' elsewhere on the forum
 5. Not my thing at all. I can understand why they don't bring this finish out too often. Just Google'd Antigua, and apart from the Caribbean Island, it also means ancient in Spanish. So maybe it some sort of ancient-y antique-y finish... Looks like frosted icing to me.
 6.
They are forecasting dreadful weather for London on Sunday and Monday. Cold as well. So perhaps summer is being suspended for a while (sigh), and that may be one more reason for us to move the meetup to another weekend.
might be here all ready. Getting very over-cast and windy in Wembley
 7. Anyone one know how this bass compares to another bass with the same aesthetic quality?
 8.
Correction Bank Holiday Monday ok for you guys? 4th of June
It's a very kind offer, but I'm away over the bank hol
 9.
A BBQ at GW's sounds lovely, but I'm afraid it's a bit far East for me I just really link up with you Lunnoners if there is something going on within easy reach of Dad's when I am paying him one of my regular visits. But Greenwich would be a bit difficult to get to. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for other meet ups which might be a bit easier. The SE Bass Bash for instance - if that's in Addlestone again I'll be up for it.
It's easy, man. Once your up to Waterloo, go to London Bridge from Waterloo East, then off to Greenwhich
 10.
Anyway, back on topic...who's up for GW's BBQ then? Sounds like a great idea to me.
+1 Sounds top
 11. I know Matamp do not recommend their amps turned on without a cab plugged in. They bench test and service them with something called a dummy-load. I wouldn't fancy plugging in any valve head without either
 12. This Ovation Magnum just went for £750 on Ebay.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120918273471?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_949
 13. Congratulations! and very nice indeed. I can spot 3 pups, but only two knobs and one switch. How do the electrics work?
 14.
That's why he got the gig!
Tonsorial tomfoolery aside, All The Queens Ravens are ace. Very original, and very good. Catch them while you can!
 15.
From yesterday's gig at the Apple Tree in Clerkenwell. Showing you can pull a Jimmy Page pout with a double bass ... and look just as silly
Clarky's in a band with three women, but he has the best hair!
 16.
Thank you guys for coming along! So when would London-based Basschatters like me to organise another one?
Hi Silvia. I would like to say thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule for arranging the first London Basschatters Social. After attending said first social, I have some thoughts that I hope might smooth the way for the next one.... I'll write them as a list as they come in my head!.. We are never going to please everyone with the date. So pick a date, tell everyone and stick to it. Those who can come will, and those who can't wont. Hopefully the social will gain enough weight over time that folk put it first in their diary. Perhaps as many are gigging musicians it could be wise to arrange it for a Sunday afternoon, so folk can make the Saturday night gig, and have a lark at the Sunday social Each Social should be no closer than 3 months apart.. Just to give us time to re-charge our funny, and to make it an event worth attending... So maybe September? When the sun is shining, I suggest a large open park area. It f***ed me off no end that Nige had to leave the banter to have a fag, as is the case with private spaces. May I suggest Regents Park/Primrose Hill area. If the sun is out, great, if not, there are some lovely boozers close by. Erm, that's it for now To para-phrase the great Kevin Costner movie, Field Of Dreams... Tell them and they will come Loads of love x x x
 17.
My cat's name is Mittens.
You are Ralph Wiggum, and I claim my £5
 18. Just got home after a fab day out. ATQR were on top form. I've even got the CD. Great music, a few beers, evening sunshine, good conversation and some very pretty ladies. What more could a man want? Cheers Clarky! Sean
 19. Priest were the 1st proper band I saw live, in 1980 on the British Steel tour. They were awesome. Last time I caught them was on Demolition with Ripper Owens. He was good, but there is no substitute for Halford. Hill is a most under-rated player, and IMHO should get a little more respect. And I believe it was him who founded the band. Priest live are always a treat.
 20.
That would be fab, cheers and I will buy you a beer
A free gig, and a beer!? It's a deal!
 21. I'm going to have a wander up to town and [s]see if I can hit up some skirt[/s] take in the sights. 6pm sounds very civilised, will get myself along.
 22.
I'm probably going to disappear under a hail of rotten vegetables, but I do like the black blocks on Geddy's red Jazz... Ow! Stoppit! Not the face! ...Not the balls! Etc. Edit: Apologies to the OP for liking this! Sorry, Clarky!
This could be a great looking bass, if she was wearing a black pick-guard. But you only have to look at the T shirt the fella's wearing to see he has no idea about aesthetics.
