1.
Rosewood with pearl blocks looks classic.
Now you're talking. you must be an aristocrat
 2.
Yep, blocks should only be that pearl colour, or whatever the real terminology is.
Is it a pearl necklace?
 3.

Nah, you've got it all wrong. What's fugly about this bass (apart from the colour) is the foul Pup near the bridge. Makes me want to vomit and fight all at the same time. Wrong, totally wrong. Love blocks, me
 4.
Sean (Billyapple), Nigel (silddx) and Shelley
Nige before he got told off for smoking... tut tut, naughty boy! And that's Shell's illicit hooch in the orange bag. I can't take them anywhere... like a bunch of yobbo's they are!
 5. The AD's I've tried always have have had a quite bright on light to start. As you say yours is dim to start with, maybe the fault is there. If there is a loose connection, the vibration when you are pushing could improve the connection, hence the bulb gets brighter. Either way, it don't seem right to me, and I'd get it looked at. You wouldn't want the on switch to pack up mid flow and leave you all acoustic!
 6.
He did mince around in a hawaian shirt though!! :-)
I'd like to see me try to get Bluejay's dress on, it barely covered her! I'd just about get it over my big toe! Anyway, I'm back home trying not to nod off. All this mincing and drinking in the afternoon sun is hard work.
 7. The perfect afternoon, spent with fine company.
 8.
You sure it looks lovely out? I'm sure the girls won't agree. Get those smalls back on
Well, I've only the one pair!
 9.
Would have LOVED to have been there but the Missus wasn't keen When I saw Wobble play 'Visions of you' on TV with Sinead O'C ten or more years ago he was playing an Ovation Magnum
TBH, I was a little reticent about going on my own, but I'm pleased I plucked up the courage and got out the house. I've often gone past the venue and seen the tube carriages on the top, but never been in before. It's a nice space, and they had a very good sound. I'm sure the sound engineer was a 'name', a very distinguished looking chap with long white hair. It looked sold out to me, and I couldn't give away my free +1, as everyone in the line had bought tickets. I walked down the queue asking who would like a pass, to the sound of much grumbling and groaning! Wobble and the drummer were rock-solid. Don't know who he is, but top-notch
 10. As soon as I've finished washing my smalls, I'll be on my way. Can't wait, looks lovely out
 11. Just to let you know I've changed the thread title, and edited the first post. Please feel free to post all things Wobble
 12.
Lol, your forgiven billyapple, at least you made it to the gig. I'd of been there as well if I lived a bit closer. I have been checking out some vids of them live on youtube and they both seem to still gel together pretty well.
Most of my memories of him were playing a hollow-body (Epiphone?) around the 'Invaders of the Heart' time
 13.
He's been using that bass for near on 20 years
Oh, no! Have I made myself look uncool on the internet!? Well, It's about time he got a new one!
 14. The bass I wish I didn't let go was the bass I never bought. Around '05 I was back in Newcastle, and one of the shops there had a lovely white Ric, with black binding and all chrome hardware. It was going for £1K, and I 'ummed and 'arred about whether I should spend that much money on a bass. A job I was going for fell thru, and I returned to London. I did have the savings to buy the Ric, and now I wish I had. As money might come and go, and circumstances may change, but at least I would have had the bass to show for my short return back to the North East. And after all, I only blew the money on daft things like food and bills. I would buy one now, but Ric don't seem to do them anymore. Make hay while the sun shines. And that is why I bought my TBird.
 15. He was playing an Ovation Magnum
 16.
You'll be spoiled, pampered and hand-fed grapes by two beauties, in the sunshine, by the river. Can't beat that
Well, I was thinking more along the lines of putting your make-up on and mincing around in a dress. But, grapes sounds fine. Anyway, so who's these two beauties whats coming? ;-)
 17. They just played Poptones and it was brill. They have a very Lydon-esqe singer. Think he might be Johnny Rotter from a pistols tribute act. I've just been down the front to check Wobbles bass, and i'm sure it's an Ovation. Didnt even know they made them. Now i'm back at the back having a beer with Marco Pirroni. Sorry, no pics, but the cam phone is bust.
 18. They've just taken to the stage. Excellent venue, very cool vibe. Class sound, thumping bass. Ashdown rig, cant tell the bass yet, but uber cool and different. Levene on les paul and marshall combo. Trumpeter trumpeting! Superb Basschat prize!
 19.
...in the end, we'll have a girly afternoon
Cool. I'm a bit kinky, so I'll look forward to that!
 20.
Congrats Sir.! I hope you enjoy a special evening.
You'd be welcome to come if you could get yourself to London Town
 21. That's the gig over, and I had a great time. Thanks very much to Ped and Basschat for putting up such a cool prize. If there is a signature sound to a hot summer evening in old London town, it was this. Deep dub, cool bass, acid guitar, flowing brass. Great crowd all swaying together
 22.
Great!! Well done, we expect a full report on your return!!! ped
Cheers Ped, and thanks for posting the comp. Due to the short notice, and my distinct lack of mates, or rather mates with kids/wives/GF's etc, I've got the +1 part of the comp going spare. Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to post up a topic offering it up to BC'ers
 23. Hey, pat yourself on the back... She's looking good. What speaker are you installing?
 24.
What time do you reckon Wob and Lev will be on? I may f*** Slayer off and get there if they are on after 10ish.
Oi Steve! Check your inbox and call me
