1. Hi, I'm looking for an intermediate/advanced tutor who can help me work out and nail a couple of songs that I'm struggling with. Songs are pretty quick and in the rock/metal area. Time is of the essence, I'm trying to get 4 songs together for a show reel and don't want to hang about. I'm free all weekend and can travel to you, or you are welcome at mine Drop me a PM, Thanks
2.
Seriously though I collect foreign football shirts.
I'm trying to open my mind to footy, being from the North East, but it all past me by in my youth (too busy in bands, see). I've just got back from there after spending a week with an old friend who would sooner drink a pint of cold sick that be seen in a Sunderland shirt.. Aye, but who beat The Toon 5-0 in aal?
3.
My new svelte physique
I'm lost here, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought Tottenham were your team?
4.
Looks like I'm going to be parking then, cheaper than a train from Watford that's for sure as there's 2 of us to split it. Would I have to pay congestion charge / how would I go about it? I'll be coming in from the M1 I presume?
Just been thinking about this for you. Your satnav/route planner will most likely take you the following.. M1, Staples Corner, west A404 North Circular, Hanger Lane, east A40 to Hammersmith. May I suggest the following to avoid any awfulness around Hanger Lane/Westfield Shopping/Hammersmith Flyover... M1 Staples Corner (The end or beginning of the M1, depending on your point of view) Follow signs for A5 (Edgeware Road) all the way down thru Cricklewood, Kilburn and Maida Vale to Marble Arch Right at the end (Marble Arch) go last exit (around MA) onto the Bayswater Road A402. All the way along thru Holland park, taking a left after HP onto Holland Road (funny water thing here) A3220 Olympia is down here on the right. With it being a weekend you need to be hitting Marble Arch by 9am, before the start of the shopping traffic Good luck!
5.
....drunkenly stalking to and fro across the front of the stage, scowling and windmilling his arms and yelling at punters and screaming "You're a w***er" at our singer. ....spent the second set trying to persuade us to let his fat teenage daughter "get up and sing along, you c**ts".
We used to regularly get this in various bars in Glasgow, and it was usually the highlight of the evening... 'Giz a rebel song, ya b*stards'.... Priceless
6. Never, but I've always enjoyed the songs I've been playing, and if the audience enjoy it, then the more the merrier. If I found myself playing songs I didn't like, then I think it would be more likely I'd have contempt for myself. However, there have been plenty of times I've been a member of an audience, and had contempt for a lame band playing tired old covers.
7.
That bridge in Bristol.
I prefer the SS Great Britain... I think it was the inspiration for 'Toiler on the Sea' Proper punk he was with all them chains.. You wanna see the size of the safety pin Edit: extra stuff
8. Sir, I see you are interested in my bass, you are clearly a man of style and taste. Perhaps I could interest you in this exclusive item.....
9. Didn't ZZ Top do this sort of thing in pink years ago?
10. If John Entwistle was still alive, you could have all the best players in the world in a room talking, and when the Ox walked in, for a moment everyone would shut up.
11. Might the pick-up/volume issues have anything to do with the hight of the Pup from the strings? My Gibbo T is mellow, but I have the Pup's away from the strings, my P is bitier than a bitey thing but the pups are quite high. Also the circuit (apparently) is a bit odd, when both vols are full one humbucker feeds into the other, making it quieter. I set mine 10 on the neck and 8 on the bridge, and that is louder than 10/10

13.
neck dive on a submarine bass ?
Ha Ha! I guess in this case it's a feature... Up periscope!
14. If you notice, cos they have lost the top horn, the strap button has been located above the neck plate, which equals horrendous neck dive, rendering the bass unplayable (I have experience from this from a 'custom' stick P bass). Anyway, my best offer... £F**KALL
15. Commiserations, from your posts it was easy to tell that you enjoyed this band. Is there a chance you could all cool off for a week, then see if anything can be done? If not, take stock, then onwards and upwards. As one door closes...

18. Just purchased my ticket for Saturday . I live Just off Junction 5 on the M4/ Denham exit M40 , and have off street parking for 2 extra cars. It's a 10 min walk to the station and you can get (a very regular train service) to Paddington in 20mins. Olympia is a spit from Paddington, and a single travel card for train/tube/bus will cost you £11.50. Anyone interested, let me know, plus on the Sunday, it's free parking on my street, so could accommodate a few more
19.
Max at Southmead Tattoos in Bristol. A great artist :-)
Aye, that's some nice needle'ing
20. I've got a completely old school (++heavy) rig, so GASing for an Orange Terror Bass and Barefaced 212 (one rig for the town, one for the country!), but also got one eye on the hybrids Matamp are developing. I don't use any pedals, but have a hankering for something from DHA. Just put a deposit on an ACG, so sorted for Basses, but she will take a good few months.. itch itch itch itch
21. I've got a date with Alan at ACG on Sat to discuss the new build . Love to meet with fellow BC'ers, you can't miss me, I've got a wooden leg, glass eye and a brass hand. Plus, I'll be wearing my 'No Fat Chicks' tee shirt.
