1. I'm going to stick up for the lads in the shop here. I've dealt with Marcus a good few times and find him to be spot on. Nice lad as far as I'm concerned. I spoke to him on the phone today and I've no complaints. I sometimes wonder just how much we expect from people and how we justify those expectations.
 2.
You're only as good as the weakest member of the band really...
+1 The last band I played in had a virtuoso Guitard, my brilliance and a drummist who would announce at sound-checks.. 'erm, sorry can't do that one now, I've forgotten it' He pretty much used to clatter through each song the same. I threw in the towel. Shame, as the songs were good, just couldn't find the right sticksman
 3.

Outstanding
 4.
you can't argue with gravity.
Rubbish. I do. Frequently.
 5. Canny and easy. If I was to be honest I'd say your string/finger noise needs work as it detracts from the melody. A little is nice because it sounds organic, but you don't want it to dominate. Apart from that, crack on
 6.
http://www.ebay.co.u...=item51a752ce14
Maybe. It only goes up to 14Kg. What about Wal owners?
 7.
http://basschat.co.u...eight-of-basses Someone... *holds up hand* suggested that in this thread a while back But I agree that if the weight of a bass for sale were put into the fs thread, this thread probably wouldn't exist in the first place.
I bow to you thinking of things before me. I think we'd need a decent set of scales. I think Happy Jack has some luggage ones. I can't see them costing too much. Weigh your pack and move them on type thing? Many people probably don't mention the weight in sales because they've probably not got the equipment to measure. Plus the bathroom scale method is not too accurate.
 8. I think we should start a register of the weight of every single BC'ers bass. I could buy a luggage scale, weigh up and then send it on to the next member on the list. It could form an invaluable database of the weights of basses.
 9. I chatted to Stu Hamm last Thursday. Let me tell you, he's not a mad gear-head. Speaking of the power section of his Hartke head "I don't know how it works, I just know it sounds good"
 10. I love the look of the 412 and 610 on the US site. Most sexyfull.
 11.
I dunno... they have two more to see yet.
What, Schroeders?
 12. Awesome. You could walk into any situation with that gear and command respect.
 13.
Well, screw that.
Ooh, that takes me back..
 14. Can someone give the definition of sideman and pick-up band?
 15. What a great evening! Thanks to Stu for putting on a great show. The man has great skill, good stories and amazing chops, plus he's a consummate professional patiently dealing with us geeks :-) Many thanks for the superb hospitality from Bass Gear. Free beer! How could they know?! The best Thursday evening in a long time.
 16. I'm unsure with Hiwatts. Did Music Ground build a load of Knock-offs? Hi wonder Watt the skinny is on this?
 17. I think you bought it from me and I never used the graphic
 18.
Good to see a band with 2 bassists...
And a Guild to boot
 19.
The SVT classic may suit you better andy
Yes, but it's not got the drive feature meaning you don't lose bottom end when you gain it.
 20. The biggest drawback with the Pro Ii is its weight, but the EQ is not the problem, it's the transformers and the transformers give you the sound. If you change it for anything else you'll loose the sound. Don't worry about not using the EQ, it's not important.
 21.
Pressing was done in France by a company called MPO
Zut Alors! Most days I get the train past the old vinyl factory in Hayes and Harlington. Alas no longer there and due to be redeveloped into some old toss.
