1.
Agree...never do more than 2 hrs.
This is why Garry Tallent had Spector build the light-weight Shorty to aid him on the Boss's marathons.
 2. The GK MB200. The little big-man. Simple, straightforward, does exactly what it says on the tin. Should be in everyone's tool bag.
 3.
Hamster has it.. PM me your number and I'll text you Hamster's details.
Thanks Nik
 4. Left Behind! One comfort strap with Dunlop locks on. Please can folk check if they picked it up?
 5. You don't know the horrors it went through in transit to get to yours. A valve may have worked loose. If you've the where with all to do it you could try opening it up and pushing them all down. But, I'd be looking at returning it
 6.
If it wasn't the worst...tell us what it was better than...I dare you
I don't think there was a worst. All the gear was top notch and I thought you couldn't get a fag-paper between most of it. It just came down to what sounded good to your ears at the time. I thought the Berg pretty good yesterday, but I've heard the same cab in a different room with a different bass and head and was not impressed. Yes, the PA speaker was good and I guess with its price point makes it very good. Cue BC run on Maplin's cabs a la Sue Ryder stylee
 7. My sub 8lb Squier JV (modded with with Gotoh Resolites, Quarter Pounder, CTS pots and fancy cap) is easily the best sounding passive bass I've ever had. The sound is in the LX see.
 8.
Exercise is key for any body problem.Daily 10-15 min. boost yours mussels enough to keep body in good shape. But,laziness is major favourite.
Really, thanks Doctor? I think they're best poached in white wine, cream and garlic. Served with crusty bread is a major favorite.
 9. My Favorite bit of the Bash.. Me 'Alrite Lozz, I see you've dropped the Tonehammer and your playing an SVT now-a-days?' Lozz 'No, I'm playing a Bugera' Me *looks confused* Me 'I don't mean to be funny like, but it looks like an SVT, It even says Ampeg on the front?' Lozz 'Oh yeah, I bought it from Discreet. He screwed an Ampeg badge on it'
 10.
And without a doubt it won`t be one of my own, as my gear always polls last in the these shoot-out events
I thought your set-up most commanding
 11.
And next year, the 10th anniversary, will have to be absolutely special!
Yes. Lozz will finally sort out which bass is best for metal, once and for all!
 12. A very cool Bash and nice to see some new faces. Many thanks to Col and Nik and everyone else who took the time to organize or contribute. Cheers!
 13. Just back in from the SE Bash where Lozz captained the cab shoot-out. From the various cabs demoed in the 212, 115 and 112 range the one brand that stood out as being consistently good was Schroeder. Not just that, but they looked good, seemed well constructed and the 212 was an easy lift. I'm just wondering why out of the usual suspects that are put forward as the best here, Schroeder is a name that does not figure. Before today I'd say who the f*** are Schroeder? Now I'd say well worth a punt.
 14.
Darkglass B7k
Excellent! Will like to have a try of that please?
 15.
Would anyone like to see a Bugera BVV3000 Infinium head in the metal? It's a major military manoeuvre shifting it so if it's just going to upset the purists I will save my poor old back
Is that the budget SVT clone?
 16. I met Barry when I visited to check out an NS CR5 Radius. Lovely bloke
 17. BTW, I'm proposing the whole event will be Double Denim. I'm working on my ensemble now, I'll be top to toe in blue glory.. Oh, yeah!
 18.
What is this 'weight' of which you speak..? (My main bass is a Hofner Verithin... )
Aye, but I hear you sit down to drum.. Ya lightweight!
 19.
However, amongst some folks there is what is to my mind an unjustified mystique surrounding lighter-weight basses in general, that is that all other things being equal the lighter the bass the higher the quality,
I like light basses, but I don't think this. My opinion-without-base is that people will think light basses lack the character that you'd get with a heavier tone-wood. Then of course I remember that it's all in the LX and nothing to do with the wood at all. With this in mind, I'm having my next bass made out of polystyrene.
 20. When I was younger I made do, now I can pick and choose. I choose not to play boat anchors.
