1. I thought the BCR's had always carried on in one guise or another, Les McKeown being the driving force.
 2.
I use Allianz Mainly because I use their other policies and they've paid out when I need them to.
I use these simply because my mate told me they paid out on a claim
 3.
MK's a genius - people will realise one day.
My Dad used to work with his Dad. MK's Dad used to moan about his lazy Son doing nowt but playing the guitar. And MK's ex-missus used to teach me drama, who what he wrote Tunnel of Love about, which must be one of my favorite DS songs. There's a big Hollywood film (forget the title) that uses the song. Always makes me smile to hear 'from Cullercoats to Whitley Bay'
 4. Any BC'ers live in or near Putney SW15? After many months Greg at Guitar Aid has finally finished the mods to by Burman. In the intervening time I've moved house out to West Berkshire. As a long shot I'm wondering if anyone who is driving to the SE Bash would be able to collect from Putney? He's not open this Saturday morning, so it would mean collecting between now and 7pm on Friday Of course I'd be eternally grateful. it's on the heavy side too, but split into two boxes so slightly manageable!
 5. She wore big knickers and worked on sewage farm
 6. It was one of those nights when they turn out the lights.. and everything comes into view
 7.
Hi Billy Apple, Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)
Thanks for that, and now I'm off my phone I can see that the info was indeed in the OP
 8.
They've seen the 'Fenders are rubbish' post and have panicked
I hope you noticed I didn't say Fender
 9. Well, by your logic most P and J basses must be firewood!
 10. Looks lovely. Very nice colour and a good choice with the PG.
 11. What is the relationship between Mesinger and Maruszczyk?
 12.
Good Morning... This is your 'only 1 week to go' BUMP !
Like this thread needs bumping!
 13.
Be wary of what you wish for.
Hmm.. I mysteriously missed an 'S' But the truth is I'm looking at Mexican hammock's.
 14.
The knobs arrived!!! My euro is now back to how it left the factory!!!
Pictures of your knob or it hasn't happened.
 15.
Drool. What's the damage if you don't mind me asking?
I couldn't be so vulgar as to discuss money, but suffice to say it is a good price for what will be a great bass. The US orders all go through Mark at Bass Direct, if you have a look at the US basses there it's representative of what you might expect to pay. My build is a Forte which means it's stripped down (no inlays or fancy wood) and that is reflected in the price. I've tried as hard as I can to make it a players bass. Number 1 priority was weight, so I've got the Helium package with swamp ash wings and Hipshot Ultra-lites. Originally I ordered a quilt maple top, but Stuart advised against it due to increased mass, so we're trading looks for play-ability. For feel I'm getting a custom slim neck. I'd been interested in the Darkglass Tone Capsule, but Stuart recommended the Aguilar OBP3 as the best match for EMG 40DC's. She's a 35" 5'er in matte black, no inlays save for a very sharp double S abalone inlay on the 12th.
 16. I heard Ringo is selling his old drum kit. Might leave him a bit short if he starts looking for auditions.
 17.
Do you think that means the new Orange Bass Amps are better than the vintage Orange? Blue
The first Orange heads were built by Matt Mathias at Matamp and badged Orange. Orange was just a music store in London at the time selling mainly second hand gear. Matt was a purist and perfectionist who was not at all keen on hi-gain. It was one of the reasons Matt and Cliff Cooper fell out, as Cliff was pushing for more dirt. So vintage Orange will be cleaner. Plus all the older Orange stuff is 100% hand-wired and very reliable, unlike the new Chinese built printed circuit board stuff. I don't think you could even compare them, two totally different things.
 18. I'm getting a Forte 5 Helium custom built and I get regular emails from Stuart himself. Makes me feel like the dogs-danglies. With the 3 layer US/Euro/Far East product there's something for everyone and the customer service makes you feel good about your decisions. In the States they have something called the Spector Hang where Stuart comes out and meets folk. Other companies could learn much from the way they do business.
 19. As I recall they did the same thing for Discreet. Now I can tell you a story about trying to get a UNC 12 gear cog screw for a tuner on my Ric 4001. They wanted around £50 all told!
