You could easily cough £1200 and get something that looks like Claudia Schiffer in a G string but feels like a bog door banging in the wind.[/color][/font] [font="helvetica, arial, sans-serif"][color="#282828"]I'm not familiar with [/color][/font][color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Maruszczyk basses, but WoT raves about them, so they must be doing something right. My advice to you is to contact the seller and see if you can get a few bob off, then put that toward getting it spruced up by a pro, but at least give the bloke a chance before opening up a thread where he ends up judged before the jury is in.[/font][/color]

I had a Warmoth neck with CFR's and it was as solid and as stable as could be with no dead spots. My Spector has them too and it's the same story. Think what you like, but I think they're a boon.

I was never a big Beatles fan, but I had a retrospective listen to Revolver. It all sounds a bit twee and I remembered what it was I don't like about the Beatles. At least the Stones put a bit of oomph into things.

Bit of gold flake.. I thought it looked a bit patchy, but John assures me that it's just the photo. We both agreed that it needed a bit more gold. Once that's done, polish it up, bish bosh, job done, quick as you like

It was a lovely bass, but a bass of two halves. The neck was beautiful, perhaps the nicest I've ever known, slim with a super-low action and I loved the parallel dimensions. The body was a different story. I couldn't get on with the rear bout, too sharp and too high which cut into my forearm. All I can say is I gave them a try and they weren't for me. Never say never, but I can't see me trying another.. Maybe a 'S', who knows? I've had a bit of a road to Damascus conversion with Spectors, which have a near parallel maple neck thru, but with the shape of the body all sorted out.. A super Ric if you will
