2.
Oh yes, there's always hope. Just email Mark and ask him to make one for you.
I'll tell you what. Whoever spec'd that pink bass must be a man of exceptional style and class
 3. It's funny just how many bass players were inspired by Yes, or Chris Squire. Always bloody hated them, me. Thought it was a lass singing!
 4.
Thanks mate, I love the case! Thanks for starting this thread. I do indeed have a feedback thread but its under my old user name silddx Thanks again Lozz x
Nige, I've merged them both together.
 5. Turn the writing up, I can't hear anything! Lovely basses these. Played one once. Very comfortable
 6. I find stainless strings brighter and harsher on the fingers
 7.
Upon taking the bass out I discovered that the nitromors had done absolutely nothing.
Ever since they took the magic ingredient out of Nitromors it's absolutely bloody useless.
 8.
NBD; Euro 4LX TW. Beautiful!
Awesome
 9. I had my Ric 4001 up on Gumtree, any-hoo this chap gets in touch and it's non other than Cliff. Very smooth sale with no problems. Cliff is a real gent.
 10. I've got a PJB Big Head and my Spector sounds ace, even with the sh*tty in-ear cheapo headphones. I can't wait to get a decent set of cans. Plus I can play along to stuff on me laptop and mix levels and that. Have you tried altering the Eq on it? I set everything at noon and adjust at the bass. I need to play the JV through it and see how it fares.
 11.
Put your bloody glasses on.
I heard you the first time. PARDON?
 12.
Neds Atomic Dustbin
A two bass band. Now you're cookin'. I met them in the Mitre, Stourbridge once when the whole Wonderstuff/Neds thing was at it's peak. Pony-tail, crimped hair and clogs! Cannae whack it
 13.
I don't believe any of them have lost the lice they had in the first place.
Ugh! Keep away!
 14.
Pete Way
The Guv'nor
 15.
Hearing Moose Harris
Nice to hearMoose being mentioned. I'm a big NMA fan and I think he's a top player.
It was the voices in my head ...
I get those voices too.. 'Jack, Jack.. Please stop!'
 16.
No - as BigRedX pointed out above, it's an 'un-relic'.
Sir, I disagree. Yours was a re-fin job, not a relic job. The previous owner had intended it to look new, albeit in his cack-handed manner. What your Hayman is is a re-re-fin. And another thing, you were bloody lucky to get it back finished and dry!
 17.
So have I - my Hayman 4040. But as it had already been refinned very badly I felt it would be OK.
A re-fin is not a relic tho
 18. I was just listening to Rainbow's Kill The King on t' radio and I was transported back to '78 when it was all to play for. If anyone had asked at the time I would've been a drummer, but I picked up the bass because no one else wanted to in the school band. Saying that I quickly made it my own and have never regretted the decision. The girls I was trying to impress at the time have long gone, but the bass has been in my life for 30 years and a bit now and there's still things to be done. I'm still mates with the guitarist in the school band and he is still playing too. I started with a 3 stringed Westone Thunder IA played into the same amp as the Guitarist. I think the first song I learned was Career Opportunities by The Clash Just startin' Still rockin' What's your story?
 19.
Just asked Jeff at Matamp to make me a Matamp 212B retro vertical cab with Celestion TF1230 speakers giving the cab 700watts at 4Ohms. Looking forward to giving it a blast!!
Aye, that'll do it.
 20.
I have a Sandberg California TM4 which is heavily relic'd and it's quite simply the best job I've ever seen. The Fender road worn, to me don't look very realistic.
I agree and disagree. I think the Sandberg stuff looks excellent and I had a quick shot on a FWRJ at the Herts bash and it was lovely. Like old slippers.
 21.
Don't think this should be in off topic . More people should see it , so maybe accessories or whatever .
OK. Moved to accessories and misc.
 22.
In fact all the Matamp folk are superb.
+1
 23.
Jeff has the serial number records, which is what I was trying to get to - he's the current owner of Matamp and has an amazing grip of the Brand history
Well, I know, he did build me a rig and I've had more than a few mugs of tea with him. Just interested in what he would have to say
 24.
Hi yes it was the one on eBay sold now I managed to get some info from Jeff at matamp when they eventually callede back Cheers
What did he tell you?
