1. I played through a Berg at Bass Gear and it was great. Don't know which model it was though. Could the difference be summed up in terms of colour or tone?
 2. I always give it a day to settle between each set-up. Plus when tightening I hold the bass between my knees and pull back on the head slightly so the rod is not pulling the neck all on its own.
 3. Any-hoo I hope you enjoy the new wood. It made me have a look at the Spector site and those Helium's look pretty cool
 4.
Well I wasn't really expecting a poo parcel at discreet towers... I'm sending YOU one though, because you have got a R*ck*nb*ck*r!!
Aye, well, I hear you've plenty of logs round your house
 5.
Not quite sure why a moderator would send me crap through the post... not a good example, surely..? Is it because I decided against playing a Fender for the rest of my life and try something different, Sean..? You've got a bloody R*ck*nb*ck*er, for Christ's sake!
I'm just pulling your leg.
 6.
Was hoping you'd be up for trades now! ;0)
Just cash-money please
 7. Chris bought my Aguilar Octamizer. Great comms, fast payment, all as it should be. Recommended
 8.
So this little number came today...
Bloody luvverly. Is this supposed to be a re-fin over sunburst or something?
 9. I had this happen on my Matamp and the fault was the input jack. I had a similar thing on an SVT and it was a pre-amp valve. What I'm saying is get it looked at by a pro. Is it still under warranty?
 10. Bargin. Quality Thunderbuckers.. and Resolite tuners!
 11. Discreet.. Not right in the head.. Official. I mean, getting rid of that Limelight!
 12.
Well, I now have the best bass I have ever played - no. 139. .....and it sounds very like a Slab66 through my V4BH 410 rig too Roll on the next gig.

Not until you put photos up you haven't
Yep. Pics or it doesn't exist
 13. After years of making a bodge of Airfix kits and being left in the shade by my brother (who used to win competitions with them) I decided to build a BMW R69 motorcycle kit properly. I laid out my work space, had a craft knife, sandpaper, glue, all the paints and everything. I painted all the parts on the sprue then sanding off the remainder when removed to touch up. All was going swimmingly until I started having problems putting in the shaft drive. There was no hole for it to locate into the engine. I spent hours studying the plans and thinking that the hole must not have been formed properly and there must be a fault with the kit. Till I realised I'd glued the engine back to front in the frame. D'oh! And in the bin it went.
 14. What's the information? Do you have any pics of the head? All the insides would be nice
 15. I nicked this pic of the underside of the pup from the Dark Star thread showing how the pole pieces are adjusted..
 16.
That's a lovely looking bass Sean. That pickup position is interesting too. Are those thumb rests between the pup and the neck? Rod
The pole pieces of the pup are the larger diameter bits, so the pup is more of a mid position than you'd think. The smaller screws adjust the pole heights. Yes, thumb rest and tug bar. They're removable, I'm in two minds about them at the mo
 17.
That`s one of the reasons why I`m going to have to try a set Sean, they felt so nice, plus sounded great as well. Just hope for the sake of my credit card I don`t feel the need to go and buy a Ric as well - as that is one darn fine bass you`ve got there.
Thanks Loz
 18.
Excellent choice - had a good old noodle on one in Wunjo, top of my list once the gig money comes pouring in
You've most likely played it! I had the choice of two so picked the best one and it is absolutely flawless. There's nice touches too, apparently the nut is bone and it certainly looks different to the usual plakka.
 19.
I`ve never had a set of these, but have payed a good few basses that had them on, and liked how they played and the tone from them. I`ve read a lot about the relaxed tension but it didn`t bother me - in fact I didn`t really notice that much in comparison to my usual roto rounds. Think at some point will have to try a set out.
They're on my Ric that you tried at the Bash
 20.
I like this one!
Well, actually, I think his Atlansia sig quite the thing..
 21. After much deliberating about my Coronado (I loved it but it was just too heavy) I've finally got the short scale semi that if I'd seen it first I would've got it first. You'd think these semi hollows would be light, but the center blocks in them add quite a bit of weight, however Guild have got it right with the Starfire Very happy with this. Nice slim and light, balances well, ballsy tone and powerful pup. The build quality and finish is superb, it looks gorgeous. The tuners are quality Grover and the head-stock looks great with the inlay. This with the 3 ply binding could be on a Gibson at twice the price.. The whole thing does feel Gibsonesque.. even the funny bridge with wooden saddles! The body is mahogany laminate with a glued in mahogany and maple stringer neck. unlike the Coronado, this looks a very faithful reproduction of the original. I kept the La Bella's I had on the Coronado, so these are on and the horrid new bass strings are off, so now we are cooking!
