1.
Red, Red Whine.
Only 1 in 10 would get that
 2. The new strings might change your neck relief, however that is a truss rod issue, not bridge
 3. The saddle height might need changing dependent on the difference in plate thickness of the new bridge. I'd enjoy the booze and leave the modding to another day
 4.
AFAIK, they have the same valve preamp with the Fusion 550 having the power section from the 1001 RB-II and the Fusion 500 having the class D power module used in the MB500. The 550 has a 50W horn amp for bi-amping - and motorised controls, for some arcane reason. It's also much bigger and heavier.
Arcane, how? I've never come across them. Plus, do you reckon the different power stages give a different sound. Is one better then the other?
 5.
Can't comment on the cab but the GK MB500 Fusion is a seriously good amp. Loud, flexible, plug & play, great tones, light. If you're ever dahn saarf for any reason hit me up, come and check it out.
What is the difference between the 500 fusion and the 550 fusion, apart from an extra 50?
 6.
Which? Gold metalflake? Or you're going with red metalflake, which is golden?
I believe it is gold metal-flake in a compote of translucent red.
 7.
Nice! Are you still going with the red metalflake?
Yes. The flake is gold
 8.
Can you get a small diameter nail punch and use that to flatten the sharp tip of the sheared screw?
Perhaps, but it's in the hands of a luthier now. I should check up on him and see what he's up too!
 9. Had comms from Rosetti. Schaller are sending them the right sized replacement cog screws. Couple of weeks they reckon.
 10. I love the figure in the fret-board of the midnight blue
 11. So you were given a big one in a car park in Bluewater with your Son watching?
 12. Awaiting a lick of paint...
 13. The mods have discussed at length whether to lock this topic or not. The consensus was to let it run enabling all to have a voice on the subject. Also while there is a ban on the sale of Rics and Ric-o-likes there is no gagging order and to lock it prematurely would run the risk of the mods being accused of heavy handedness. Although, as has been stated in this thread, to keep going on about it is tedious and it would be nice if members could accept the decision in good grace and not keep having a pop. For my own bad self, I wish we could have Rics for sale, and copies too. But, we don't live in a perfect world, and on this subject the imperfection has not been created by Basschat. I hope now members can respect the owners decision and leave this subject alone. But, I'll not sit by when members start to fall out. Members who are most likely all great folk, and who if we were in the pub I'm sure would get on great guns. So with the OP's comment above I declare this subject well and truly closed. Please respect the original rule. Basschat marketplace is Rickenbacker and Rickenbacker copy free. No more discussion will be entered in to.
 14.
But to be fair to Karlfer, he was actually invited to start a thread in General Discussion by another Mod. So your accusation of "sh1t stirring" does come across as a bit heavy handed.
Well, that's me, heavy handed. Just like my playing. But, I stand by my comments and opinions. Seriously though, move on from this, the decision has been made. Whether you like it or not, it was debated and put to the vote, which is something the owners did not have to do. You're maybe unhappy about the voter turn-out in relation to BC total membership, but you can't force people to log on and take part. But I'd put a £5 on the vote being the voice of our active core membership from both sides of the fence. I'd rather Rics were available FS here. I'd rather wind the clock back to when I was 17 and I didn't have a care in the world, but neither is going to happen any time soon. It's a lovely day outside and I'm not going to waste it any longer in the house swatting the flies off this dead horse.
 15. Just had listen. Right up my street that is. Ever coming out Slough way?
 16.
So, the asking of a question is sh*t stirring Mr Apple? Disappointing response.
Disappointing in what way? Are you disappointed because I gave you an honest answer? Maybe if this subject had not been raked over and over again in the past there would be a little more debate involved, but there are pages and pages of discussion that evidence the degree to which this subject has been covered. But, you know what, you can't please all the people all the time so naturally we have members who every now and then like to take a pop at BC over this subject. Like in some way this is down to BC or BC has some kind of prejudice against Rickenbacker basses. I honestly don't know what difference the passage of time makes to this issue, apart from to cement the knowledge the we a a Ric free market place. So to keep on about it after the fact does seem like sh1t stirring to me. BC is a Ric free market place. The decision has been made. Move on.
 17.
Until then there will be no further debate on the inclusion of Rics in our marketplace, and anything else is just sh1t-stirring

Charming!
I'm glad you think so. What is less than charming is this whole charade has been brought on by John Hall. Are any members here hounding RIC about this? I seriously doubt it. Tell you what, if any members are that bothered about it, then set up your own bass players forum, start advertising Rics, and see how far you get.
 18. I wear a few hats in internet-land, BC Mod, Ric owner and member of the Ric Resource. There is something that has been forgotten here, there is no 100% Rickenbacker ban on Basschat. You can post pictures of your Ric, discuss wiring, walnut wood finishing, tail lift, truss rods, in fact anything you fancy. What is also forgotten is the Rickenbacker-free market place has been driven by the RIC corporation, not BC. And given that Ric aficionados on the RR site discuss at length whether a 4001 is real or a fake or not, the only prudent action to take is the action that will result in the cessation of hostilities from the RIC corporation. TBH, if you want our marketplace to include Rics, then the best course of action would to be to petition John Hall. Until then there will be no further debate on the inclusion of Rics in our marketplace, and anything else is just sh1t-stirring
 19.
I can see a spiders web. .
Aye. Brown spider
 20. Last night we played Sub 89 in Reading supporting The Doors Alive. It was dead good, the best we've played so far (out of 3!)
 21.
Any good tip on better looking knobs?
Easy, these ones (from Allparts)....
 22. I'd get it re-set. I put flats on my Coronado and the tension was all wrong 'till it was properly set up
