On Off On mini switches as pickup selectors?

Thanks for the help Woodinblack, but I'm Still a little perplexed with this. I've got signal coming through for neck and both but only from the neck pick up. I'll type out how the signal chain goes to see if any of you can spot what i'm doing wrong. (I'm ignoring tone pots as i dont have any and I'm got a humbucker at neck position coil tapped) 1. Neck pickup + to left hand lug of Neck pickup pot 2. Neck Pickup pot output to far right lug on switch 3. Neck Pickup - to right hand lug on pot (right hand lug NOT connected to pot casing for ground) 4. Neck Pickup pot right hand lug connected to center position on switch 5. Bridge Pickup + to left hand lug of Bridge Pickup pot 6. Bridge Pickup Pot output to right hand lug of Neck pickup pot 7. Bridge Pickup - to Bridge Pickup Pot casing for ground 8. Bridge Pickup pot Right hand Lug connected to case for ground 9. Bridge pickup ground point connected to far left lug of switch 10. Jack Hot connected to far right hand lug on switch 11. Jack ground connected to Far left lug on switch 12. Switch far left lug connect to back centre lug of switch Can anyone see any mistakes in that? Desperate for help on this!!! -

even if the pickups are wired in series? -
Is it possible to use either a SPDT or DPDT On Off On mini switch to switch between 2 pickups. with position 1 neck, Center positon both and 3 position bridge? or can you only use a ON ON ON DPDT switch to achieve this?

I'm just getting into modding my lovely P Bass to be a bit more custom, and I really need help with the wiring! I have soldering experience and can do the work myself, I just need a bit of help with the diagram! Here is what I would like to achieve:

Humbucker at neck postion. Coil tapped so I can pick between either coil as a single coil. (3 positions North coil, Both, South coil) Either a telecaster 3 way selector or a Jaguar sliding 3 way selector.

P bass split pickup.

A concentric Volume and Tone for each pickup.

3 way selector between the pickups. I'd like to use a telecaster style 3 way selector.
Whats the best why to achieve this? I've drawn up a little jig in photoshop (its not brilliant I admit!!!) If someone could fill in the lines for where the connections should go that would be awesome!!! Jig:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24yWr2LRmJY The video above is Musicman's cleaning guide for unfinished necks. At the beginning of the video it says this technique isn't suitable for instruments with maple necks. Why is that? The bass I'm trying to clean is a maple neck stingray I want to take off the old wax and reapply it. Would it be bad for my neck to sand it like in the video?

Well used, well loved, and well toured Eden WTX 500. This amp toured with me mounted on my pedal board. Dont really use it anymore as I have moved to a combo stack rather than running through this. This is an absolute animal of clean tone. Link to Eden's webpage for it: http://www.eden-elec...div/wtx500.aspx There is some obvious cosmetic wear and tear on it, but thats as far as it goes. All electronically and mechanically sound. The damages are as follows: - Scratches on the Bass control, Mid control and Master volume control. - Scratches and a small sharpie mark on the front panel by the input. - Scratches to the bottom of the amp, one of the rubber feet cut. Still sits perfect though. - Very light scratches on the back panel. 230 of your finest British pounds, ono. For trade/part exchange either way I'm interested in P basses, any of the Squier Classic vibes basses, or A loop station. I'm based in Portsmouth. Anyone interested in more than welcome to come down and try, though I would be ok with shipping the head once the money has clear. Paypal or cash on collection is fine with me. Send me a message if you have any questions or offers! Cheers
I saw the single pup model in GAK this weekend. It looked OK, but meh, didn't try it. Looked like a bit of a toy. Had a bang on a £2.6K Gretsch instead
I went in there this weekend and tried it out. It wasn't brilliant, thought the string they had on it were pretty much dead. tried the Squier Classic Vibes single coil one and was extremely impressed. A/B-ed it against a Mex 50's reissue P bass and it actually sounded better. I'm definitely thinking about picking that up.

I'm looking for someone to cut me a custom gold anodized pickguard. I have a Stingray 4 with double humbuckers, and I love the pickguard for the 5 string version, but I dont like playing 5 strings. Does anyone out there know of a pickguard maker who can cut me a 5 string Stingray pickguard but for a 4 string made in gold anodized stuff?
