1.
Those look flipping marvellous! Love the Justice (although not too sure on the lipstick tube pickups) and the Mercalli 5-FM looks fabulous. The DubKing reminds me of Feeder's Taka Hirose's basses. Only without the gold sparkle! There's an 'international' dealers page on the site, link below. http://www.reverendguitars.com/reverend/de...l#international
Yeah they all look pretty ace! I wonder where they got the idea for the name 'Decision' from? Never noticed that international dealers link - that bloke in Oxfordshire might be getting a call soon Cheers!
2. I've got a friend who's still looking to sell his BB415 on here? Black in pretty much as new condition. I think he's only after 200? Brilliant bass http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=129217
3. I've had the chance to play on a few of the Reverend guitars before and the quality/sound/playability is amazing. And for the pricetag they're practically a steal. Anyway, I got rather excited a couple of months ago when Reverend brought a new line of basses at the start of '11. The Mercalli 5 FM looks ace! I've since been trying to find a UK dealer but I can't find one anywhere! You can usually pick up a few of their guitars here and there but I guess the basses haven't been out long enough? Just wondered if anyone knows of a place to pick one up, or perhaps has tried one? 4.
How much ££? What year is it? Thanks
Hey Andy, I'm not sure exactly what date it is but I know it was built somewhere in the 00s. I think some of the Fender documentation I got with it was dated 2006 but I'm not sure. I bought it brand new in 2009 anyway. If there's an easy of finding out I'll gladly oblige! Hope this helps In terms of ££ I'm only really looking for a trade with a 5-string - I'm after the low B otherwise I'd be keeping the Jazz! Thanks!
5. Because this bass is cool. U M P
6.
Yeah some cash your way would have had to happen, it was a long shot. Good luck fella.
Cheers
7.
Long shot but... ?
Sorry Wayne, that Hudson sure looks pretty but I've never tried one of those before or have any idea what they might sound/play like, and the prices I can find for them are a little lower than what I've spent on my Jazz! But thanks a lot anyway! It sure looks pretty nice
8.
Haha, I have... but it was a wedding present from the wife. You know - the one you genuinely can never let go of! There were some a few DJ4s on here lately, must be a half-dozen pages back by now. Might be worth dropping some of the guys a PM to see if there's some interest?
Ah well that's fair enough then! Pretty cool for a wedding present Yeah I tried out for a couple of those DJ4s, but I think they all ended up with either cash or something not so Jazzy Thanks anyway! p.s. I also seem to have accidently deleted my previous post instead of editing it - sorry! Not very on the ball today it seems! :S

Jazz

Here's mine! Deluxe Active with a Badass II and Dunlop strap-locks Looking for trade here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=131881
10. I just figured out how to post images so this'll save you a trip to Photobucket! Cheers!
11. For trade: one beauty of a Fender Deluxe Active Jazz IV - in black with red tort. pickguard, noiseless p'ups and added Badass II bridge/Dunlop strap-locks (I'll throw in the leather Fender strap too) Used cond. due to a couple of really really small knocks here and there and some buckle marks from my old rock-band days but it's really nothing much and certainly nothing that'd be noticed on stage. The Badass was fitted and custom grooved by professional luthier Mr. Lucas at http://www.lucasguitars.co.uk/ - he also set it up to play rather nicely too. The controls go: master volume, pick-up pan, bass (+/- 18db), treble (+/-18db) and mid-range (+/- 12db) The controls combined with Fender's noiseless p'ups (and they really are noiseless!) really make for a wide variety of great tones. Comes with a decent gigbag OR just keep your case of course if you deem it better. I love this bass, BUT I'd really like a 5-string, so I just thought I'd put it out there and see if I get any offers I bought this bass from: http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-deluxe-acti...ass-black/15854 (RRP at just over 850) and have spent around another 100 getting the bridge put on etc. This is the first 'proper' bass I bought and it's my pride and joy, so I'm not really sure how much I want to let it go, but hopefully someone has a nice 5-string to convince me Pictures are HERE: http://s1096.photobucket.com/albums/g329/BenJaminHoare/ Cheers!
12. Figured I might as well try my luck. I don't see why no-one's going for this. This Stealth looks ace! I've got a Fender Deluxe Active Jazz in black with red tort. pickguard, rosewood board, Badass II bridge, Noiseless p'ups. Sounds and plays nicely BUT it's a 4-string? Thought I'd put it out there anyway!
13. Hi! I'm in the process of putting together a bass at the moment - I've got all the hardware, the only problem is the neck and the body are completely unfinished. The neck's maple with a rosewood board. The body's basswood and needs to be painted. I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on what kind of lacquer/paint I should be using? Links to places I can buy them from would be ace too, if possible Looking for a matte butterscotch paint for the body, if that helps?
14. Have a BUMP from me.
15. If you wanted to trade for a rosewood neck I've got a Fender Deluxe Active Jazz in black with a tort. pickguard, and a Badass II bridge which I recently had fitted and grooved by a professional luthier, along with a set-up. Plays quite nicely. Noiseless pick-ups, three-band EQ/pick-up pan/volume. A few buckle marks on the back and a couple of really, really tiny knocks you'd have to search for. I look after it but I do use it I've got access to a recording studio so I can provide sound samples if you want
16. Sounds nice, depending on the pics, I've got a MIM Deluxe Active Jazz IV, with a Badass II bridge on? Black with tort. pickguard. Looks ace. A few of those 'small dings', but that adds to the personality right?
17. Hey, I just thought I'd big up your Jazz here - I've got exactly the same model, and I've even put the same Badass on! Pre-amp works a treat for me and both pups sound ace
18. Just a quick comment. I concur with Isaac in that this bass is indeed pretty tasty. Looks a lot better in flesh, and the black finish really compliments a well-lit stage. Sounds ace - if I were in the market for a five-string I wouldn't give this one a miss! Ben
19. Wow, I've been looking for a set of these for AGES. Bargain. Perfect compliment to my Epiphone LP.
20.
That's seriously nice man... Ben - I recently bolted my old de-fretted Aria SLB2A back together - it's been sat around in pieces for the last 15-odd years, but I finally had enough spares to cobble something together. It looks, err... indescribable, but plays very well indeed and sounds lovely! Just remember that the nut will need deeper slots, otherwise it'll play like a dog at the low end of the fretboard. Good luck with it man!
Hey, beauty's in the eye of the beholder! Cheers for the heads-up on the nut - hadn't thought of that! Thanks!
21.
Looks good! Makes me feel a little better about having an Encore Hey don't feel bad about your Encore. Mine started like this... I kind of pimped it up a bit. It now looks like this....
Wow, nice! Love '51s - I've gone for a Tele headstock too I started out with a black and white wreck, with no screws, a broken pick-up and a massive dent in the head (my friend was little ashamed to the Encore logo, not that taking a chisel to it made it look any better ) hence the re-shape I'll post some photos up when it's finished
22.
This is quite neat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6P9wtq1n9g
That's rather neat indeed! That'll do it! Cheers My rosewood neck owes you it's life.
23.
Here's an early 80's Encore I defretted Looks good! Makes me feel a little better about having an Encore
24.
It's not likely. What make is it?
It's only an old Encore - I only say I think they're just glued on because I can't see how they slot into the neck as with my Fender Jazz. But you're probably right - I'm pretty inexperienced in this kind of thing, hence the question
25. Just out of interest... anyone got any tips on a fretted/fretless conversion? Instead of seeing this (admittedly awful, but of sentimental value) bass get dumped, I took this old P-bass copy off a friend and decided I'd make something out of it. I'm a pretty big fan of MuteMath, so I figured a fretless P would be rather fun. See: http://vimeo.com/4445025 So I've re-painted and re-finished the lot, re-shaped the headstock and replaced all the hardware and electronics etc etc. All that's left now is to get out those frets - Jaco style! It's a rosewood neck, and as far as I can tell the frets seem to just be glued on, but I figured it'd be worth asking if anyone's got any advice before I go and accidently ruin the whole thing!
