1.
Dude, where's Busy Like Signal? Seems to have gone from Soundcloud. Anyways, Ujahm are wickid.
Cheers Nigel! Here you go...... http://soundcloud.com/ujahm-band/02-busy-like-sgnal
  2. I'm glad the experience didn't put you off Lee! I've actually just done a straight amp swap today, and drove for an hour to meet half way, rather than put up with courier hell again :-D
  3.
Original Hard Shell Case
Makes sense, thanks :-)
  4. I had a Mexican Precision, but would never buy one again. When I opened the case, the 'tort' scratchplate was actually tortilla.
  5.
Good call. I'll be 64 next August.
6. The way I read it, it's marketed more towards the super clean, more hi fi end of the market (albiet with the option to add colour*), so is is a different beast to the AD200 *orange, obviously
  7. In a fit of generousity, I've plumped for Wayne's cajon. It's just looks soo nice, is on offer, and has a bag included. Thanks All
  8.
Doesn't seem to be anything in events. Keep me in the loop as I'd like to make an appearance. We can have a stupid rig off!
It will be in events when everything is definite. I'll let you know. Then it will be...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AeGpV32E6c
  9.
Do they say how much it is?

just saw that sleeved its like 1599?
At that price, there is some serious competition in the SS world - it had better be amazing! Agreed it seems odd that it's that heavy and class D.
  10.
http://www.gear4musi..._kword__match__
Good thinking, cheers

I've just traded amps with Freddie. Communication was excellent and he's a really top chap to deal with.
  12.
Sorry about me being thick but how do I leave feedback, anyone????
http://basschat.co.u...um/23-feedback/ Go to the feedback forum, and do a search for the username of the person for whom you would like to leave feedback. If they have a thread already, pop it in there. If they have no feedback thread, create one (Thread title should be their name, or "Feedback for xxxxx")

  14. Am I missing something here? Ah, I see it now after title edit. Thought you were being ultra mysterious :-D
  15.
The cost of the geotec surveys where you're planning on firing this behemoth up? While I applaud your plans to destroy Nottingham; I wouldn't like to see a basschatter fall in to a sink hole caused by seismic activity! P.S. let me know when you're going to do it as there are a couple of hills nearby that'd give me an excellent view of the carnage!
Haha I had forgotten the fact that 80% of Nottingham is built on mineshafts, and the other 20% on caves. There is a midlands bass bash on the cards, so all being well, I'll bring it then :-)
  16. Use this thread! Anything you don't understand, post it here and you can bet you'll have an explanation in a jiffy
  17.
I have an MIM strat which is now my favourite guitar out of however many I've owned over the years. I played it in the shop and it was love at first strum. Try all the ones you can and get a good one!
The guitarist in our band has a lot of guitars, but only ever gigs his MiM Strat.
  18.
Shekere gourd/bead thing.
Thanks, will see if any are within budget

Is that because he's so young, or just because he's a drummer? :-D Thanks folks. He's petty sorted for kit protection. If money were no object, I'd buy him a van so I wouldn't have to keep giving him bloody lifts :-D
  19. It's our drummer's 21st coming up and we wanted to get him something. Nothing too big, maybe up to £50, more likely less. We're happy to take the piss (metronomes, etc) or alternatively thought a nice percussion instrument might be nice (he's also a wannabe percussionist) Nice mug too http://www.cafepress.co.uk/mf/75704884/the-tempo-is_mugs?productId=769849827 Anyone any suggestions/websites that might be good? What do you call those sphere things surrounded in chain, like in this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvHFuJX2Ock
  20. Was Tayste's PX offer still a bit too rich?
  21. Shouldn't the title be 5v6 ? Anyway, you want a six, get a six. Besides, it's one louder.
  22. Welcome to the forum John. The way I see it, if a neck was manufactured with the correct amount of relief built in, then I'd be happy to do all action adjustments on the bridge. To me, changing relief is just a means of counteracting neck movements due to string changes - getting rid of the associated buzz, not adjusting action. If a neck never moved, regardless of string type, then a good bridge should be all you need to adjust action. You'd need to be pretty damned sure that it will never move though! Good luck with the project.

  24. Gorgeous. A pickup selector like that is right up my street. I have a pickup pan on my bass, but only ever put it in those three positions anyway. I especially love the tone of the fretless on the neck pup.
