1. I reckon 'around the world' must be nearer 20 years old by now? Scary. Anyway, "Hey Ya" by Outkast Just about makes it, if you play it before 9th September :-D
2. OK, cheers. So although it may be a bit overkill for one pedal, it leaves options open for future additions.
3. Ah, but this will be my only pedal...
4. I have a Xerograph on its way to me, and need to find the correct power supply. Taylor said I need to get " the local version of the Visual Sound 1-spot" Is this the one I need? http://www.gak.co.uk/en/visual-sound-1-spot-9v-power-supply/29509?gclid=CIqrqdzch7kCFW_HtAodulYAAQ Thanks, Chris
5.
The email about cashflow made me nervous tho...
Do tell .....
6. Poster for the Green Festival. Don't ask me what 'face panting' is :-D and don't expect to be able to buy meat!
7. Cheers Paul, very sporting :-) I agree, it should end up with a Basschatter. It's only fair ;-)
8. I've thought of one! Multi FX units.
9. I've had a go, I'll submit it tomorrow. I tried to keep it simple and clean, but relevant with the lion and the strings (whiskers)
10. 'Irrational' means with no logical reason. A lot of these are based on "don't like the look/sound/weight" which are perfectly logical reasons.
Non rectangular hard shell cases
That's more like it. That's f***ing bonkers :-D My irrational dislike is when certain people keep creating 'bass guitar' threads in General Discussion grrrrrrrrr
11. Please ignore, sorted now :-)
12. Some humour: And some Sly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGWDLpfqOwU
13. Nice one - this is just the kind of thing I'm after to replace my crackly Rotel amp
14.
Well guys, I've just got off the phone to John "Rhino" Edwards, as most of you are aware, he got involved in the relay and signed the bass. However, he's taken things one step further. He's had a chat with his mates over at Status Graphite, and they've told John that they're up for getting involved. By the sounds of things, Status will be donating one of their fantastic basses, which John (and Status) will get all of the Status endorsers to Sign, before letting us auction it off for CRUK.
:-0 that's incredible news, what a way to raise the profile and earn extra money. Wow!
15. .... a basschatter's nephew He's still at school and I knew he played guitar (as well as bass, mandolin and ukulele) but this is the first recording I've heard, and am impressed by the maturity, playing and dynamics. Thought I'd share... http://soundcloud.com/james-wiseman-4/acoustic-song

17. You won't have these issues with your '69er HJ - recessed handles :-) On the subject of handles and customer service, I was impressed by EA; the leather split on the handle of a combo, and they sent me two replacements free of charge.
18.
If it's a guy in Devon, C E, then yes, be glad
The Colombo in me has worked it out. Thanks for the warning!
19. I remember this from a while back: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/200630-rather-good-bass-comparison-video/page__p__1991120__hl__rather%20good%20yet%20comparison__fromsearch__1#entry1991120 Love that Bongo tone
20. Band shot. What I love about this is that my T Shirt is bunched up in such a way that it makes it look like I have 'bitch tits' à la Meatloaf in Fight Club
21.
There's obviously some in joke on this bass that I'm not privy to...
Wasn't 4000 just stating that this beautiful bass is back on the market, thereby recommencing the feelings of GAS-fuelled yearning and frustration caused by the previous threads? Don't knock a compliment and a free bump :-) All the best with retirement
22. The Protec is more money, but very good protection. Here's my review: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/205909-protec-small-mixer-case-pa-1212/page__hl__protec+mixer__fromsearch__1 Edit: actually, it looks like Thomann don't sell then any more :-(
23. Im an advocate of buying quality used second hand separates. I have a meridian CD player (actually separate transport and DAC), Linn speakers and a Rotel amp. It sounds very, very good; MUCH better than either of my 2.1 systems (HK and Sony) It all cost about £300. The amp is a bit crackly and getting worse, so if anyone has any recommendations. Ideally up to £90 used
24.
Really? I have NEVER played a venue with house backline. A FOH PA yes nut never backline.
Same here
25. Status HotWire strings have black windings too
