1. I have a six-month 'cool-off' period. If I still want it after that, then it's worth serious consideration. So far, very few GAS attacks have lasted anywhere near that long
2. It won't be long before the new Barefaced 6x10 sealed cab comes out.....
3. Thanks very much - I appreciate the comments. All going well, we'll be in the studio again soon to record another seven songs!
4.
Firstly, i have not received any PMs or even know what a PM is.
A PM is a Personal Message. Look at the little envelope at the top right of your page. Alternatively, look at the "Personal Messenger" section in your profile. From my point of view, "Hand Built in the UK" suggests that the bodies and necks have been created in the UK. Not CNC, but a human with bandsaw/router etc.
5. When I first started getting properly into music (around 13) it was The Cure. This one is still great. Atmospheric, understated and very cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uhgo11KokxE

7. Gig #3 The Golden Fleece, Mansfield Rd, Nottingham 2nd August
8. I love that bass BRX, is the hardware chrome or brass/gold?
9.
Well , that was the worst gig I have ever played , in 20 years of playing live I've never had so many things go wrong on in one set ! Proper gutted as it was the first outing for the Stingray5
The ray is obviously cursed. Burn it.
10. OBBM etc. etc. Glad to hear that you're loving the Wild Thing, great looking basses.
11. If you're talking about toughening up the fingertips, practice practice practice. Meths can help with this too. http://www.pluckandp...fingertips.html Worked with my feet when preparing for Duke of Ed hikes at school
12. Ujahm page - ska/reggae
13. One of the songs on our demo got onto the radio tonight. BBC's "The Beat" (regional show) in their "BBC Introducing" section. Big thumbs up from the DJ/team, good feedback on texts into the show, and promise to play us again in future shows.
14. She's fantastic. Check out this badass pick playing: She's friendly too, and has been gracious enough to reply to an e-mail with info on some songs she played on. Legend.
15. If you found the sound too middy and lacking in top end like you say, try rolling the VLE right off and turning up the VPF, as this will cut the mids and boost the lows and highs. I'm sure you've done all this, so maybe it's just the overall tone that doesn't sit with you. That or your brain telling your ears that such an ugly colour scheme has no rightful place in your life :-)
16. While we're suggesting venues, check out The Wardrobe in Leeds. I reckon that would be right up your street. Edit: not literally, as it's in Leeds and you're from London :-)
17. I'm with you on the valve thing. Welcome to BC
18. Wow, I've never seen a Wal in that dark red before, and it's so much nicer than the normal natural wood finish IMO. Kind of like a super EB3. Lovely
19. Haha, shows what my memory is like. Thinking about it, it was more than a few years ago, around 2002/3. My memory is that of a spacious stage for our five piece. The only stage where I've played the bass and didgeridoo simultaneously
20. This is a great place. I've gigged there a few times, back when I was with a jazz/funk outfit. It's been a few years now, but they used to have "The Sunday Joint" where bands would play each week, as opposed to the great funky discos on other nights. It's a good-sized stage, good PA, and when I was there, an experienced and friendly soundguy. It was never quite as busy as a Friday or Saturday, as can be expected, but it's still buzzing and they should be up dancing in no time. Unless you're sh*t Enjoy. edit, just listened to your band - really good stuff - you'll go down a treat.
21. I bought a soft case recently, and it came in a nice sturdy cardboard bass-sized box. If you'd like it, please collect from me. Bulwell,Nottingham
22. Sorry I missed it, but the changing time threw things off a bit. I saw the pics though, looked great and that Yamaha looks the nuts. Lovely.
23. It looks gorgeous. Love the retro Sei decal. I would never normally go for a white neck, but it really works on this bass. Re. the toilet seat comment - just because there is paint there, do you think it will not play smoothly? It probably has a similar laquer on the paint that most other natural necks have. I'd imagine MP would know what works and what doesn't with these things.
