1. Men Imitating Machines next week. They are doing a tour and well worth watching.

 3. Summer Ska Spectacular at Spankys, Nottingham, 1/7/16 This night was epic last year, this year with the riotous Trojan Soundsystem https://www.facebook.com/events/998434620272469/?ti=cl [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/13342878_1058208100891983_6688427474485871203_n.png_zpsuk6beu78.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/Screenshot_2016-06-07-21-18-03_zpsmp6idil6.png" class="ipsImage" />

 5.
The guy is obviously very discerning, and it's a great coup for Barefaced. But I still had to look him up :-)
Everyone has gaps, depending on their experience and taste - I'm embarrassed to say that people mentioned on BC that I've had to Google include Matt Bellamy and Wilko Johnston. After Peter Gunn Theme and The Chain, Tim Commerford bass lines were the first thing I worked out when starting out on bass. Well done Barefaced!
 6.
I'm currently GAS-ing for a German built, long scale Warwick Star Bass, but without trying one first, I am certainly not going to part with any cash.
I tried a Korean one at a bass bash, and although it sounded great and had a nice neck, I found the hanging position (short horn so the body is further to the left) too much of a reach* to be comfortable. I suppose this would apply to any bass with a short upper horn. *a five string might have been better, as I tend to play more around the fifth-seventh frets on a fiver.
 7.
cheers Chris i'm suffering a lot of back problems these days and may have to go light ,do you use that with barefaced 15 ?
With the Super Twin, a really nice pairing
 8.
I have tried a few light weight amps and although they are good for most stuff i think the elusive heft is sadly missing I have never found one that can do reggae/dub convincingly ..they are ok for onstage monitor but using one for a gig without p.a.assistance is to much of a compromise for me ! ... if anyone can direct me to a lightweight amp that can get this sort of sound please point me to it..here's the sound i'm after https://youtu.be/ItNYBBQnhKA
Glockenklang Blue Rock, no sweat. I play in a reggae band too and it is really, really good.
 9. I'd be all over that Läkland Decade in the marketplace. Great price.
 10. Lovely bass and cracking price. I'd love this but unfortunately am one bass too many already (and £600 too few)
 11. What about unnecessary PA support? At a gig tonight in a tiny venue (picture taken from back of the room) Note the Genz 6x10 and Orange Terror mic'd up to go through the PA! God I love my ACS earplugs [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/20160529_203215_zpsszgwfcrg.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> In tge spirit of the thread, the PA is all Peavey boxes (6) with EV, QSC and Peavey power amps. Soundcraft desk.
 12.
That's better, but did you clear this with JTUK first?
Of course - he's the one we hire it from!
 13. Actually, we don't even have a PA We just use whatever the venue has in house.
 14. 90's alt rockers Bivouac, who have reformed this year for a tour. Should be great.
 15. I have a very low tolerance of 'wannabe guitarist' type bass players, so when it comes to Bootsy - not a problem! When I listen to Mothership Connection, I am listening to some of the best rhythmic, funky and innovative bass playing ever committed to record.
 16. The Bodega Nottingham last night [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/IMG_3386_zpsgj4os8sg.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
 17.
One Hot Minute, was that the one with Dave Navarro?
Yeah that's right. Great album IMO
 18.
What? When did this happen!?
Here you go... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/285344-hobbaynes-nbd/page__pid__3054561#entry3054561
 19.
That's a sweet bass. Enjoy
He's sold it. Such is the ever-spinning carousel of Basschat GAS.
 20. Not fussed about the neck, but I'm really enjoying the versatility of my P/J. If it came to a one or the other choice, it'd have to be a P
