1. Just spotted another thread about him on BC - oops! Anyway, it links to a glowing live review and this sentence seems to sum up the feedback on this thread pretty well... "One day Collier will cotton on to the telling power of simplicity. When that happens he will be really something"
 2. I'm mostly fingers, but when I'm palm muting, I prefer a 'dunk' to a 'fump' so I use a pick.
 3.
WTF.?
No, all of the Outrun music was written by a chap called Yu Suzuki who was part of the Sega house band (seriously) I reckon he was a Stevie fan though - the track from 8.30 has a Stevie pop/fusion quality, albeit trapped in a Spectrum... http://youtube.com/watch?v=aEz1BVeGO2o
 4. Next gig is on Friday 13th May supporting Grammy-nominated dancehall star Tippa Irie [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/FB_IMG_1462133746771_zpskb1hvexz.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
 5. Disjointed and artificial can be a good thing, but then I'm into glitchy electronica. This is a bit muso-fusion for my tastes, but I'm pretty bowled over at how multi talented this guy is.
 6. 21 years old... http://youtu.be/DaNxq6Q4v1w
 7. I'm enjoying picturing this....gas or electric hob?
 8.
Hefts over rated!
Is that a witty way of saying that there can be no heft without headroom?
 9. That's a really good groove - reminds me of this one by The Bamboos with the fabulous Alice Russell on guest vocals http://youtu.be/Cm7Fsk0YKC0 BTW, love that Dr John album BB5, - imagine having The Meters as a backing band!! If you want to impress the Mrs with a joke which never wears thin, pretend to fart with every trombone slide on "Such a Night"
 10.
Don't take this as gospel, but as far as I can gather, virtually everyone uses the B&O modules except TC Electronics and Markbass, who have their own. Barefaced are using the highly respected Hypex module in their active speaker, which is quite an interesting move.
Just to add to this, the Glockenklang I have uses a 1000w Abletec module
 11.
[Austin Powers voice] Oh behave....!
Haha. Can't believe I didn't pick up on that one 😁
 12. Originally played by Chuck Rainey on the superb Young Gifted and Black album. It's a great bass line and lots of fun to play.
 13.
https://ritter-instruments.com/item_info.php?i=770
I'm going to grit my teeth and be as diplomatic as possible... That artwork is not to my taste.
 14.

Must be a very lightweight bass - no strap!
 15. I also have a bass with passive/active capability with an East P Retro type pre. I prefer the passive mode, so just use that. However, I will keep the active pre in there as it has a huge range of mid frequencies which just might get me out of a sticky spot on stage during a gig.
 16. Nice intimate venues too, will be great gigs for sure. Shame they're not coming near me
 17.
Ok now that's fired up my GAS!
Haha. It is indeed an absolutely top quality amp, but they cost lots of monies 😕 My review halfway down the second page here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/279448-rock-around-the-glock/page__st__30
 18.
1000 Watts.
That's right. As far as I can make out, it used an Abletec 1000w power module. I agree with you that headroom is required so that it doesn't run out of puff during those deep loud notes.
 19.
What's your current head?.. (If you don't mind me asking)
Sure. Glockenklang Blue Rock
 20. That's it Chowny, cancel all further 5 string thoughts - Blue is not on board!
 21.
(or why a tribute band would even record such material)
A recording is handy to give an agent/venue to get work. Also good to put clips on the website so people can see if you're any good! I agree that I wouldn't pay for a tribute recording.
 22.
After a good test today at the neighbours expense I can say class T with it's old school toroidal transformer has heft and is loud...And so does my gf
That's how I read your post! I wouldn't tell her that to her face
 23.
What's the pattern?... Interested to hear your view as I'm relatively new to class D.
Generally the pattern is as follows for me: 1: Get GAS for amp because it looks good and the lightness is a bonus 2: Have a generally favourable initial opinion 3: Become increasingly dissatisfied after several gigs 4: Sell This has been the case with three class D amps, which all happen to have the ICE module. It hasn't put me off though; my current amp is class D and I absolutely love it - the more I push it, the more I love it. It doesn't have the ICE module, so that may be an influencing factor, I don't know.
 24.
Damn! Wish I'd said '(heat) sink'.
Not a fan?
