1. Studies have shown that information in PDF format is 58% more likely to be accurate.
2. I always assumed that this amp was normal solid state, but I'm getting from the OP that it's actually some sort of Mr T powered class D, yet it has a big transformer. Can someone clarify please?
3.
I believe the threat wasn't over the music but the use of the word Eagles in the band name. They didn't have to pay any money out in the end. I was told it was Don Henley who instigated it.
They should become the Beagles
4. You need to tell us what the rig is, otherwise this thread becomes void and is automatically deleted.

6. Marlin Sidewinder, Silver. It was a perfect starter bass, and even sounded pretty good on some recordings! After I upgraded to Stingray (which, bizarrely I didn't bond with half as much) I tinkered with it and had a friend paint it a Hawaiian theme. It still resides, incomplete, under a bed at my Dad's house. 7.
Bloody hell, I had 3 out of 3 until I got a bigger RJ 15" vinyl covered cab to go with my TTE500 head. Does it count If I have a yellow lead as well.....?
Haha, I was wondering whether anyone had the hat trick. To be fair, the TTE is by far the best looking MB head, although personally I'd remove the logo. Carpet is OK, it only becomes 'ratfur' if it is bobbly, covered in beer stains, crumbs and the odd pube.

9. Hasn't the poor log been through enough? [Img]http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/download_zpsyygjfspo.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
10. Yes, but not as much as the look of a bass. The holy trinity of wrong: 1: head overhang 2: Markbass yellow 3: Ratfur carpet covering.
11.
So why hasn't somebody developed a two shoulder strap like the one on my golf bag? http://www.intheholegolf.com/IZ-ds/Izzo-Golf-Dual-Strap.html
http://www.gruvgear.com/duostrap-signature
12.
The best playing I have ever actually seen, ie witnessed first hand, was Alain Caron playing with Mike Stern. My god, he was blistering. Fantastic pocket playing and incredible soloing -- the only guy ive seen whose solos were so melodic, i found myself whistling their tunes on the way home. And he made it look soooooo easy. And he was having fun.
Wasn't the Jazz Cafe on a rainy Sunday night circa early 2004 was it? I saw AC playing with MS then and it was pretty damned impressive.
13. IIRC Basschatter LowEndBee's former band, The Jetsonics, bagged an endorsement deal with Eastwood and were furnished* with some lovely instruments from the company. *no idea whether they were free/loaned/bought at discount
14. I have a bass line so damned cool my amp's gonna need a heater
15.
Excellent! When are you on? We're after the puppet show and balloon sculpture on Sunday
Haha, if you're lucky you'll share the same dressing room as the puppets. Not sure yet, will pm you when we know 👍
16.
I've got one in my Flat , I originally wanted to use it for a monitor , but when you turn the volume it also increase the DI line level ?
That sounds very very wrong! I thought that the point of a balanced line out was that it is not affected by the volume on your amp?
17. Thanks for those comments chaps. I had two clear favourites - King Bollock and Sir Rob of Camden - each had their own feel and flow. The rest were great too, especially Leonard Smalls* and Subsonic Simpleton. Well done everyone. *Hey Leonard, hope to be playing Green Meadows fest so see you there!
18. Yay! No worries. Always good to hear when a recommendation goes well. Enjoy!
19. If it helps, my 4ohm Blue Rock, which is connected to a 4ohm BF STwin is really loud. I usually play with gain around 2 o'clock, master around 11 o'clock and that's spot on with our drummer. Also bear in mind that the master is logarithmic, so gets much louder the higher you go, all the way to max.
20. Super Twin owner for a couple of years now. It can take a crazy amount of low end and reproduce it with utmost clarity. I've had some seriously powerful amps going through this, as well as a boosted LPF and it doesn't break a sweat - I've never heard it get stressed. There are limits to the high frequencies in that it won't give you tweeterish highs, but for me it has the perfect range for bass guitar. The sound is full and clear, fuller than a single Super Compact IMO (not heard two Super compacts stacked), and it's very light. I've never even considered another cab since getting mine.
21.
Rightho chaps, just about made the deadline this month... I've had a piece in mind to record for this months noodle comp and intended on waiting for my new P bass to record it, but when the new P arrived and I plugged it in this came out instead... I think it sums up the joy I feel when playing this new instrument and my renewed appreciation for the P bass in general https://soundcloud.c...-1/noodle-02wav Moollon P Classic straight into a Boss Br-80.
Very nice Rob. Puts me in mind of 60s soundtrack type vibe. Nice playing too!
22. Nylon tapes tend to be pretty fat. Status hotwire flats have a medium compliance feel, and sound great. Not a bad price either.
23. I have one of these and it's a lot more versatile than it looks. I use mine as a limiter, but it does light/medium/heavy compression really nicely. Tiny too!
24.
...my entry this month has the worst recording quality...
I wouldn't be so sure Sounds fine to me
