1. I don't really do tab, but it looks like the D and A are being played at the same time? That would explain why they play the open A string.
2. Can't help you with a valve amp at that price, but welcome to the Blue Rock Club!
3. Soil and Pimp Sessions (Jazz Cafe London) Chemical Brothers (Festival tent, Perth , Oz) Pressure Tennants (The Donkey, Leicester. Deaf ex muso soundguy)
4. Anyone posted that Dingray on the EB forum yet?
5.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-BLACK-CABLE-LV-POWER-SPLITTER-2-1MM-1-x-FEMALE-IN-2-x-RIGHT-ANGLE-MALE-OUT-/321915381491?var=&hash=item4af3a6e6f3:m:mdFKsz85xreuOSFaamedpCg
Perfect, thanks
6.
I have only one major issue with my BB2. I should have bought the silver face .
I only have one problem with my Super Twin. I should have bought the metal grille version.
7. No. Spare lead and that's it! Think I'm made of space?!
8. TThinking about it a bit more, the TB has a very scooped voicing, so full whack on bass is very severe. Maybe your ears crave the more audible low mids. The TB EQ is not that flexible unfortunately Edit, just read the title properly re low mids! Normally a P bass excels in that department. Maybe some sort of EQ in a pedal would help?
9. Any TB I've heard is definitely not lacking in low end! I'd start with the comp settings - possibly some sort of excess high pass going on?
10. I need to add one more pedal to my board, but all five of the plugs from my one spot are used up. Anyone know where I can get a 2 way splitter where the two plugs are both right angled? I've had a look online but they either seem to be straight or in the States
11.
who puts anything on top of the amps?
Finland Quaye's percussionist seemed to think my amp was a drinks tray 😠 I told him off
12. MP3, CD, Spotify or Soundcloud on the car system, Bluetooth headphones or some big dusty active speakers at work. The separates system needs to get used more TBH. Never on phone, tablet or laptop speakers, unless it's just a snippit.
13. I remember the Bass adverts on telly "The Bass Triangle" jingle as you outline a triangle with your two index fingers (starting at the top and meeting bottom centre) As close to viral marketing as it got in the 80s
14. The Manics debut, Generation Terrorists. Their up to that point had been edgy, punky and sleazy, then comes this much-anticipated double album of soft rock/second rate hair metal There were several gems but overall, it sorely disappointed this teenage RR YMMV
15. Does Screamadelica count? It came on double vinyl. Superb from start to finish
16. Stingray for me too. I had a lovely playing 2eq 80s 'Ray for about four years but we never bonded for Tone reasons
17. They look cool anyway! I remember seeing a metal Ashdown guitar combo with palm tree cutouts once. Unless that was a dream..
18.
Are these question marks? Sorry, my phrasing wasn't too clear. I meant that in the clip you posted there's more than just a synth. The player seems to be controlling some sort of filter, and I'm not sure how this is done. I'm actually not sure in at least two ways:

The filter control seems to shift pretty rapidly. I'm not sure you can do this with an expression pedal. Maybe you can with a bit of practice. I've seen people do some similar things with a hot-hand (google "Nathan Navarro hot hand" and skip to the parts where he wiggles his right arm a lot)
Even when you do get the control part figured out - I'm not sure how you would feed this into the FI. It's supposed to respond to expression-pedal CC via MIDI, but I've never tried it and I'm not even sure this is implemented in the current firmware and/or whether it is "wired" to control the right parameter.
Hope this is clearer (?? ;-)
Sorry, it was a 'thumbs up' symbol on my phone! No idea why it shows as question marks on the forum! Thanks for the elaboration, also very useful! (Genuine and not in the least bit sarcastic) I suspect, like with many of these DJ's the filter sweeping was done on the computer (Ableton?) where a huge variety of wobbles and sweeps can be saved and played as a recording. Not so easy to recreate live on bass, like you say I'll have a look at the hot hand and what it's compatible with.
19. Sly & the Family Stone had a dig at Motown's copying of their psychedelic soul style in their song 'Hot Fun in the Summertime': "I 'Cloud nine' when I want to" referencing the Temptations song
20. Van Morrison: "Jackie Wilson said It was Reet-Petite"
21.
I'm pretty sure it can do this sound, but not too sure about the way the filter is controlled. There's this "wobble" (if that's the right "word") that you'll probably need a hot-hand or an expression pedal for, and even with them I'm not sure how you'lll use them with the FI
Thanks for the response. Very useful
22.
Why doesn't the Zvex Woolly Mammoth work properly with active basses?
Something to do with the Mammoth wanting to see high impedance, which active basses tend not to have. To the OP, I've had both the Mastotron and the Oxide and both work wpvery well with active bass
23. Hi Future Impact owners! I'm starting to think that this pedal might me just what I'm after; please can you have a listen to this track and let me know whether the FI gets into this territory? Bass line starts around 0:36 and builds from there https://m.soundcloud.com/jumanji-sound/soul-brother-1 Much obliged..
24. I saw them in Bristol once and they were superb. Much better than EMF who were headlining
