2.
Pop Will Eat Itself - Anti Nasty League. the new version of PWEI return to form
I had no idea PWEI were still going! - I used to be well into them. Will have a listen tomorrow, ta 👍 Edit: maybe not, album not on Spotify 😡
3.
I enjoy the videos - don't find all of them useful but I can see a place for a lot of the stuff he puts out there for free. Top fella too...met him at the LBGS a couple of years ago and he took the time to talk to us and have my photo with him.
I remember this pic as your avatar, and thought for ages that you were a priest 😁
4. The Chemical Brothers put out a superb album this year, Born in the Echoes. Also Damogen Furies by Squarepusher, if that's your bag
5.
Now I get what you guys are talking about, it does sound like aimless noodling.LOL Blue
Lol, FWIW Blue, I don't believe you're a troll, just arguing what you believe. Sometimes you can argue yourself into a hole, this can go two ways: - You can either stubbornly stand firm, despite knowing you are getting further and further from your originally intended position or - shrug, admit that the argument led you say say some stuff that you didn't fully think through/overstated, and lighten the mood. I always prefer the latter. Good man
6. My mate just picked up a US Les Paul Junior guitar with hard case for £280 delivered on Black Friday. It comes complete with the G Force tuning system, where the tuning pegs turn themselves automatically to whatever tuning you have programmed, in a single strum.
7. In true BC/forum style I'm going to suggest something that looks great but I've never actually played - the Shuker JJ Burnell sig.
8. "I Want to be Adored" by Stone Roses "Sting Me" by Black Cowes ..can you tell that my adolescent musical awakenings happened in the early 90s?
9.
My 0.2$....
That's ten opinions' worth
10. As far as I'm aware, the Ergon and the EJ are separate models, and this is an EJ? Anyway, as an owner of both an Ergon AND an EJ, I can testify that they are superb instruments - up there with the best. A used W&T is the best value for money on the planet IMO!
11. ... and as an aside, a 'gak' is a derogatory term where I grew up. Example: "Yer nat sposed to eat it wi le skin on, ye stupid gak"
12. That's really sad. STP were a great band (saw them at Rock City circa 1994) RIP
13. Lol, sounds very Spinal Tap. Are you using wireless (no pun intended)
14.
Vintage Trouble at the Forum Kentish Town on Tuesday. Can't believe I'm saying it but the sound was a bit 'bass-heavy' to start with but a brilliant gig nonetheless, masterclass in 'working a room' and a surprise guest duet with Paloma Faith singing 'I'd Rather Go Blind' Excellent evening's entertainment 😀
Nice one, I know you're a massive fan 😊 Re. The Forum, I've been there once and the sound was really mushy -give me Jazz Cafe any day!
15. Phooarrr! Very nice indeed. I wonder why they only have one Speakon speaker out and two jacks..
16. Currently in the CD player in the car: 1 Leftism - Leftfield 2 Signing Off - UB40 3 Till the Sun Turns Black - Ray Lamontagne 4 Plastic Beach - Gorillaz 5 Transformer - Lou Reed 6 Berlin - Lou Reed

Kevin bought a bass from me. He was great with good communications. I'd definitely deal with him again. Probably when I realise that Ive made a mistake and want to buy it back 😁
18.
Can't get enough of this! I know it probably doesn't quite fit with the core "basschat" ethos but it's such a great sound! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xo64Q2ucQ8
Have you heard of Cuban group Vocal Sampling? Pretty nifty! http://youtu.be/_xj1ncF5hSY
19. I had an Ear Candy cab for several years (the SweetTooth 2x10) Fantastic cab, sounded great
20. If you squint and take some drugs it almost looks like an Alembic
21. I decided not to see Al Green at a small venue as the tickets were a bit much. People said it was the best gig ever. (Dublin 1999) I decided not to see Bo Diddly as it was a Tuesday night. He died shortly afterwards (London 2008) I missed The Pixies headline Reading 1990 because my mate wanted to go home early
22. My other bass sold, so I've decided to keep this one. Maybe I'll get back into four strings again with a future project.
