1.
Jeff Berlin always strikes me as a reasonable, pleasant and emotionally well-rounded person eager to entertain the beliefs and opinions of others.
:-D
 2. Pics added now, plus I've decided to include the Gator padded gig bag (cost me £55) When the amp is in the bag, it is a really easy one hand lift, or you can sling it over your shoulder. Very comfortable padded handles and straps
 3. Did you say you put it through an 8x12 cab as part of your more portable setup??
 4. UPS courier to UK mainland is a surprisingly low £7! I've gone and bought something on impulse, so unfortunately this great power amp has to go :-( It's in great condition, and sounds superb. There is one tiny scratch near the channel two knob, other than that, it's pretty much immaculate. Can be used as a PA amp, but works brilliantly as a bass amp when paired with the preamp of your choice. It is transparent, deep and clear. I've A/Bd this with a couple of D class power amps, and I think this has the edge on heft and tone, especially at volume. This lives in a quality Gator padded bag, which I will include. The bag looks a bit shabby in the pic, but it is really good condition and quality. Class AB 475 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 800 watts per channel at 4 ohms, 2000 watts per channel at 4 ohms bridged 24lb Integrated Speaker Management System includes crossovers, EQ, delay, limiting, subharmonic synth, and pink noise generator USB HiQnet Band Manager™ interface makes system setup, control, and monitoring quick and easy Available JBL factory speaker tunings for JRX, MRX, SRX, and VRX can be easily loaded into each amplifier Can be viewed or tested in Nottingham. I can deliver locally or meet halfway, or I can get a quote for courier. I'll take some pictures when it's out tomorrow and post them up. This is priced to sell, so no offers and no trades please
 5. Hey Phil, how's it going? Good to see you on BC Phil is a great chap and you can deal with him in confidence :-)
 6.
Sorry, don't know what you mean. Can you explain?
It was a joke about how to go about literally manufacturing instruments 'over seas' I'm not in the bass making trade, but do make furniture in the UK. I have had several meetings with people about having stuff made in Indonesia. You can deal directly with the factories, but that's a bit daunting in terms of communication and quality control. A safer option is to go through a UK based 'agent' or experienced liaison who already has the contacts and can guarantee a level of quality. They expect large orders (think containers) And also think about what materials are easily available over there. I have designs in walnut or oak, but that's not so easy to get in Indonesia! I believe BC member Chowny Bass (?) has gone through the process to make his great looking hollow body short scales - maybe shoot him a PM
 7.
Some sort of hovering factory?
LOL
 8.
I have a Gold Top Bass...
Nice. The full fat model with lovely creamy tone :-)
 9.
Knobs AND handles..??? oh my....!! Sorry, couldn't resist, but that speaks volumes...!!!
But not as much volume as the spec would suggest ;-)
 10.
Inventor of the seed drill who died in 1741? I'm sure any songs he wrote were long out of copyright by The Eagles' time. ;-)
haha
 11. This Maze gig is on Friday. Lemme know if you want to come and I can put you on a cheap list :-) The April gig at Spanky Van Dykes from the list above has been cancelled/postponed :-( However, new March date added at a venue that we haven't played before, JT Soar. All looks wonderfully chaotic with a ska punk flavour, BYOB and pay what you like - can't wait!
 12. If you don't get on with interactive EQ, then you might want to try a Streamliner before committing :-) Lovely amp - good luck with the sale
 13. That's ironic; once I cut my penis with a G string to something like the average length of a tuning post.
 14.
What's wrong with being sexy?
Sex-IST
 15.
Our new band, The Bluespots' in rehearsal....Take 4 http://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be
Sounds really nice - good reworking of that song :-)
 16. I buy new strings, pop the end in the centre, then wind until it is in tune (always ensuring that it exits at the bottom of the coil) I think that this method is BC heresy; I'm doing it incorrectly and my basses will go out of tune due to these superfluous windings. Except they don't, and never have.
 17.
Then it's a shame the Guardian painted him in such different colours. That's the trouble with the press - they chop out all the reasonable stuff and distort the truth.
I think he has a persona which works well on record and in print, and I don't believe it to be too contrived either, but chatting in a pub or on local radio interviews I've heard, he seemed to be much more sedate. Noone would have the energy to keep up that level of vitriol constantly!
 18. With my valve amp, I like to crank the master, then adjust the gain to suit - it keeps things clean but with gorgeous fatness, especially at volume. With my solid state amp, I do the more conventional method of raising the gain to just below clipping, then adjust the master to the appropriate volume. Not sure if I've answered your question, but the point is, different methods work for different amps
 19. Love Sleaford Mods and have met Jason a couple of times through mutual friends - seemed to be a very articulate, intelligent and respectful chap.
 20.
Just answer the last 3. They're the important ones
Surely the first question is pretty important??
 21. Haha, how strange. I'm guessing that Duncan Goodhew in his budgie smugglers need not apply, regardless of how good or reliable he is.
 22.
Not sure if i have a gig. If not i will come. Can I get pissed and act like a fool?
It's at a college, so I'm guessing alcohol will be a no no. Acting the fool seems pretty par for the course though ;-)
 23. Great news, really looking forward to it.
 24.
Did you post that as feedback..?
No can do :-( "1) Feedback is only allowed for completed sales, or sales that fall through where a deposit or part-payment has been made."
