1. The handles look the same as the ones on the '69er. I can't say I ever noticed the 'upside down handle' issue. Then again, I never felt the need to ask for help when lifting it :-)
2.
Here's the set list of the band that Roland Rock used to be in; http://www.rebelrebelband.co.uk/Set%20List%20&%20Tracks.htm
Thanks for that Kev, trip down memory lane - and some tracks that I recorded that I had forgotten about!
3. I was in a Bowie tribute for a few years before my current band - great fun. The Ziggy album is an entity in itself; there are many people who only go to see the Ziggy stuff. As such, we ended up playing a few gigs where the first set was the Ziggy album in its entirety. This was a huge hit for those particular fans, who knew every word and every note which came next. Other ones which went down really well were Life on Mars, Let's Dance, Modern Love, Heroes etc. Funny that you all knew China Girl - i didn't know it and never warmed to it :-( My personal favourites to play were Hang on to Yourself, Fame and Boys Keep Swinging Good memories, and some great gigs
4. Alibabu got my vote this month. Lots of lovely synthy goodness
5.
Do you think it actually will be 2000 watts? Will it be much louder than a PF800 or an RH750 for example? It's also quite a cheap thing. Does that mean it'll be quite low quality?
2000w peak would be loud. 2000w RMS (ie continuous power) would be very loud! Saying that, in my experience, D class watts don't produce the volume that the equivalent solid state watts do, which in turn don't produce the volume that valve watts do. Will it be louder than the PF800? Most likely, but nowhere near twice as much - more like 12% louder The RH750 is a bit more contentious due to the 'actual' wattage issue, so best not go there :-) In terms of quality, Bugera is a sub brand of Behinger, who make some poor stuff, and some that is great value for money. I certainly wouldn't dismiss it on the strength of the brand or price. I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews for this.
6. I like the type of jam night where there is a house band whos bass player will gladly let you sit in for a few songs if you show an interest e.g. The Black Swan, York (jazz) I've turned up to some 'jam' nights, but unless you are one of their mates, or your entire band have pre-booked a mini slot, you don't have a chance e.g. The Volo, Nottingham (blues/Rock)
7. Speaking of Klotz cable, I once had OBBM send me a cable of Klotz instead of the usual Vandamme, and I found it horribly stiff and annoying. I always specify Vandamme with him now. I don't know if it was a one off nasty cable?
8. For the clean reggae tone I like, the best was Wood & Tronics Ergon 5 through Glockenklang Soul head and BF Super Twin. I'd still have that rig if the head had had more headroom.
9. Yeah, I've been on Spotify since 2009, but am such a tightass that I've only just gone premium now that this 99p offer has come up :-D I still buy CDs though
10.
A great day last year.
I'll bring your UJahm goodie bag!
11. I never play with my watch or ring on. Congrats BTW
12. Is that pic just a computer rendering? The inputs are kinda funny lookin
13. Goat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aen0yyHX8Nk
14. I use DSP/programmable EQ in the form of a Crown power amp. I think that the technology has some a long way since those Ashdown jobbies
15. What was I saying about being GAS free? That looks gorgeous. Any detail on the power section?
16. A good tip for pedal packaging. Go to a supermarket pharmacy and ask for some of their inflatable medicine packaging. A standard pedal fits perfectly and the pedal has a fun zorbing experience on its way to its new owner.
17. My local amp tech has made a 1000w all valve bass amp. I want it.
18. Something strong enough to instill confidence

20. I like the thought of a simple amp with a SS power section (not a fan of the OTB sound, and am not convinced that it's just the preamp to blame). 10kg is perfectly manageable isn't it? This looks like a good, solid versatile amp to me.
21. It was a good laugh last time, so I'm in! I'll have space in the car for several people who would like a lift from Nottingham 1. Si600 - GK MB500 Fusion, GK MB212 (house rig), Fender P V. 2: Roland Rock - Avalon U5, Crown power amp, BF STwin. W&T Ergon and 78P if I get the refin done in time. Some pedals.
22. Next gig is supporting Kioko at Pi Bar in Leicester next Friday 30th Jan http://www.wherevent.com/detail/Dreaming-In-Colour-DICP-PRESENTS-KIOKO-formerly-Tempting-Rosie-with-support-from-Last-Edition-UJahm-PI-BAR-Friday-30th-January-8pm-FREE-ENTRY
23. This is as much as I can fit into my 12" squared board. New additions are the Accountant compressor (primarily to tame the squeals and rumbles of the dub siren) and a plectrum tin I wish I actually had a 'Patio' switch :-D
