Maybe swap out the parametric EQ module in the MoMark for the 7 band EQ module?

From the Markbass website: What do the VLE and VPF filters do? The VLE and VPF are useful EQ filters that help you adapt your sound for different styles of music. The VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) is a shelf EQ that cuts a wider and wider range of high frequencies as you turn it up. Markbass amps are very clear-sounding, and this filter has the effect of drawing you into the mix more, making your sound less present. It's kind of like an "old school" knob! The VPF (Variable Preshape Filter) boosts lows and highs, and cuts mids. Some call this kind of effect a scoop, a smiley-shape EQ, or an enhance knob. It's very effective for slap bass, pick playing, and driving eighth-note rock. These two filters can be combined for interesting effects. But remember that they are off when they are all the way counterclockwise--we suggest you start in that position and turn the filters up gradually, one at a time, to hear and understand what they do.
I'd go with prymaxevintage. That's where I got my accountant from. A fun pedal. and primaxe are god to deal with whilst not too expensive even including shipping.
Prymaxe don't have any in :-( I've just ordered one from from an EBay retailer. Can't wait!

I have no idea what Hench means, but that looks great!
It is possible to design a cooling system that uses quieter fans and comes on gradually, only speeding up when really needed. But it seems many amp manufacturers don't prioritise this and use cheap noisy fans with very basic control
Yeah, my Crown power amp has a variable speed fan linked to the temperature of the amp. I've never noticed any noise from it.
A local BCer was selling an EBS Multicomp for cheap, so I bought it to see what compressors did. No matter what setting I used, I couldn't hear any difference. I sold it on, and the buyer gave feedback about what a great compressor it is. So I'm none the wiser.
Having said this, I now find myself in need of a compressor! I need to tame the unpredictable and unruly volume peaks of my LPF's self oscillation. That Ovnilab page is just brilliant.
I was actually impressed with the PA in the Wolves civic hall, no idea what it was but it was generally very clear, particularly for lead vocals.
I saw the Black Crowes there and the sound was crystal clear across the board. Great venue. -
Hey all, Been trying to get my hands on a Fairfield Circuitry accountant compressor for over 8 weeks now and the only UK distributor seems to be Guitar FX direct and it's just hopeless really so I've given up
Why not just buy one straight from Fairfield's website? Edit: they are available on EBay.co.uk too

As the post above says, Dewalt and Trend are generally the ones to go for. If you can get hold of a second hand Elu it'll last forever. If you can, make sure it has slow start. In terms of bits, my first choice is always Wealdon, but will get Trend if Wealdon don't have what I need in stock. Experience has taught me not to go for the sets of bits with lots of different types. Your money is better spend on one or two high quality bits that you know you will use.

Oh, and I don't agree with the 'if you're close enough to see the rough finish, you're too close' argument. So much of our gear has details that most don't notice, but give personal satisfaction. My bass has ebony tone knobs. I don't think I anyone has ever noticed but me, yet it gives me great pleasure.

Many people seem to take exception to the 'fit and finish'. I've had two BF cabs, each with the cloth grille. In terms of build quality, they were solidly built, and the fixtures seemed good quality and well fitted. The only reservation was with the G2 speakon sockets which were mounted proud at the back; a method that smacked of cutting corners and not worthy of the premier price bracket. Thankfully, the G3 cabs have addressed this, with speakon/jack combi sockets set into a recessed plate - much better. The Tuffcab finish is the other thing that many dislike the look of. I'm not overly keen, and would prefer it to look and feel more like my old EA cabs, as that had a lovely smooth and durable finish. However, the Tuffcab is durable, and I'd have it any day over vinyl (damages easily) or carpet (starts off ugly and gets uglier over time) Aesthetically, I'd prefer the shelved porting to be covered by the cloth grille. I think that many see the thin ply and equate that with flimsiness?

When I had my very long wait, I had paid a deposit, and then the balance was paid once the cab was completed and ready to ship.

If I needed an EQ/DI/Boost/Drive pedal again, I'd go straight for a DHA, preferably my old one if I could persuade Billy Apple to part with it :-D

That black Rumblekat-a-like is gorgeous

I found the asymmetric neck and flat fingerboard immediately comfortable and very playable.

Sounds like some of these venues need a visit from The Darth Fader: -
If I buy one, will it make me sound like James Jamerson?

It was a very quiet support slot tonight, with maybe less than twenty people in the room, although there were a fair few of them dancing and grooving. Unusually, the headline band watched us play, and they were enthusuiastically complimentary. Also, the DJ had a copy of our EP and blasted out one of the songs over the big PA - sounded awsome :-)
