1. Lovely stuff, thanks for those links - takes you to another place. On the subject of dub, check out this acoustic instrument called the yaybahar - how cool would this be on stage with a dub outfit? http://youtu.be/_aY6TxC1ojA
 2. Bump for a great seller. This bass is so cool looking. I remember being impressed with it when I saw the W&T video a while back. Great price too.
 3.
Ah so you witnessed your future on Sat night then? make the most of it while you're still young mate!
Haha, you're too modest Kev - any band that creates an atmosphere that results in an ambulance visit has a few decades left in them yet :-D
 4.
that link doesn't work for me, has the thread been deleted? Matt
Hmmm, looks that way, or moved. It was a pinned thread from a few months ago by Billy Apple. He said that the Doc was recovering and planning to get the backlog cleared up. Sean (BA) offered to help by collating all outstanding order info via PM to help make sure that nothing was missed.
 5. SBTRKT - really loving the bass on this one: http://youtu.be/ZdUINbi4wSY
 6. '78 P that was my only bass for eleven years hasn't been touched for about a year :-( I couldn't get rid though. If I got, say, a grand for it, that money would just slowly vanish bit by bit until I'm left with no money and no beautiful bass. Besides, I'll need it in the future when I'm playing mediocre middle-aged pub dad rock.
 7.
Don't forget I've seen your singer. He's not that alluring!
Maybe if you're into biceps! He looks like he's been lifting Kev's Trace rig too often! Great to see you Kev, you were on a bit of a downer after the quiet first set, but glad it picked up. We were in and out a bit, but I caught a chunk of the second set too, but had to leave around 12 to get the tram. The ambulance was approaching as we left - I'd forgotten about that till you mentioned it :-D
 8. Well, I survived my night out in Hucknall unscathed. Great to see Kev, and the band were playing real crowd-pleasers all night - from I Feel Fine to Happy, it was a good tight performance. It was pretty quiet in the town generally, but it really started to get packed by the second set, and the atmosphere built accordingly. We left just after 12 as I needed to get the last tram, and saw the ambulance approaching, presumably coming for the lady who had passed out. More importantly a pub with Marstons Oyster Stout on tap! Brilliant. Thanks Kev
 9.
Wondered if there was any update as to how Howard is?
Have you seen this update? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/243278-bass-doc-announcement/page__pid__2528320#entry2528320
 10. Love it! I wonder if Warwick had this in mind when designing the Fortress Flashback
 11.
We're doing the same thing again but slightly different... in homage to Fenders business strategy.
:-D
 12. I had the same idea for a while as I need to engage fuzz and LPF instantly. First I tried positioning them closely together, but it was too inconsistent (ie I'm too clumsy to consistently activate both at once). Then I thought of a little bridge made from wood or something. I gave up on that as I thought that getting equal pressure on both was too tricky, as was keeping the thing from being kicked off the buttons. In the end, I spent £30 on a single bypass looper. Connect the two pedals into that loop then just leave them on. The signal is bypassed until you stomp the looper, then both come into play instantly. £30 well spent!
 13. Here's an quick example video of some of the many expression pedal applications: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w5l0tvdzxc1nuf1/Video%2029-10-2014%2010%2057%2049.mov?dl=0 - Sweeping the frequency of octave/synth fuzz via low pass filter - Controlling the wave speed ratio on the LFO - Freq sweep again, this time of the self-oscillation 'siren' - Controlling the speed of the sweeps Note, the video features my EP3, not the EP2 for sale. As far as I can make out though, they are the same except for the EP3's detachable cable. Why did I buy an EP3 when I already had an EP2 I hear you ask? Well, basically because I'm an idiot and bought it thinking that the EP2 does not have a TRS jack, which it does.
 14.
Do they have a bass port or are they sealed ?
Here's the blurb - not sure it answers your question: "Using our innovative hybrid enclosure which sounds and feels like a sealed cab but can play loud and bring the thunder like a ported cab"
 15.
Excellent! I also have a Broadcast pedal on the way... exciting! Would be interested to hear what you manage to get up to with this setup...
Cool, it's lots of fun. The video I linked to above gives a good idea of the types of things I'm planning to do with this setup.
 16.
Ooooo, don't see many Broadcasts on boards, how are you using that? Si
I've only just got it, but the plan is to let it do some of the filter sweeping to reduce me needing to use the EP as much. The main challenge will be to get the timing spot on with the band, but I'm optimistic. There is also potential to use it with the Xero's self-oscillation in a kind of dub siren context. This vid may help explain - obviously it needs a lot of refining, but it gives the gist: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w5l0tvdzxc1nuf1/Video%2029-10-2014%2010%2057%2049.mov?dl=0
 17. The replacement Broadcast has arrived and tap tempo and everything else working fine. I've done a quick vid to show the very basics of what it does, with some oscillation fun at the end to show the different waveforms. Sorry it's so quiet, just the ipad mic. As you can see, I put on my best socks and work trousers :-D https://www.dropbox.com/s/w5l0tvdzxc1nuf1/Video%2029-10-2014%2010%2057%2049.mov?dl=0
 18.
During one sound check I turned the volume on bass off and played along, he still asked me to turn down until I explained that I was off and what he was hearing was the 100w Marshall 4x12 equipped guitard stood next to me.
Haha, like it
 19.
F*** 'em
You're far too pottymouthed to play a bass with the fish symbol
 20.
What's the point of all her knowledge if she can't put it across?
She has put it across in the music that she has played on :-) Maybe she's not cut out to be a teacher though
