1. There are some seriously high end class D amps in the BC marketplace at the moment: Loadsamoney: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/242739-walter-woods-blue-light-1200w/page__p__2561081__hl__walter%20woods__fromsearch__1#entry2561081 More realistic: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/244167-fs-glockenklang-blue-soul/page__p__2559794__hl__glockenklang__fromsearch__1#entry2559794 Not sure if this package is able to be split, but they are reportedly superb amps: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/246483-feeler-demeter-minnie-vtbp-m-800d-signed-edition-plus-ea-nl210/page__p__2568639__hl__demeter__fromsearch__1#entry2568639
2.
...he had packed it like he was expecting a bomb to drop on it!

very well packaged
Cheers folks. I'm loving my special inflatable pedal cases (reused medicine packaging from a pharmacist friend) - you could play football with it and it would still be fine :-D like zorbing for pedals!
3. Ooooh - really hoping for some serious electronica to listen to this month
4. I've had email correspondence with both Carol Kaye and Chuck Rainey - both lovely helpful people
5.
Bought an Iron Ether Oxide from Tuco
He must have missed that lovely fuzz, cos he's just bought my one! Great chap, I'd happily recommend him.
6. I sold a pedal to Jamie and it all went swimmingly. Fast payment, good communication. I'd happily deal with him again.
7.
I was most pleased to get a vote so early in the proceedings, many thanks , I normally seem to land one right at the death , I think there is a vote fairy that soothes my ego for my really dodgy entries
That was me :-) I thought Dad was going to get my vote as he won me over quite quickly with a great tune with lovely deep bass, but then I heard yours: I love the mood of the jazz tune, and adore the morse code beeps. A really great contrast which is both quirky and effective. Well done the rest of you too :-)
8. Two for me - a W&T 5 and a '78P. I've never had the desire for a fretless or a sixer, so these two do me fine. Of course, if I won the lottery I'd have a Gretsch Billy Bo, a Ritter R8 5 and a Status Kingbass 5 just for fun :-D
9.
I've got a Mono M80 and I find it very uncomfortable to wear for anything other than a 5 minute walk due to the fact that the straps are too close together at the top
This
Protect Contego
and this. It's heavier, but much more comfortable than the Mono. Also, after an unfortunate backstage flooding incident, I can vouch for the waterproof capabilities of the Protec!
10. I saw Low Leaf playing last night - eccentric, talented, spiritual, avant garde and very enjoyable. Her set was a lot more synth/soundscape than I was expecting, but she apparently was saving her voice due to illness. She warmed up nicely though and blew everyone away by the end. A truly unique talent - catch her if you can!
11.
Buy it! I have one and it's immense:)
Oi! Stop it you! You're not helping :-D
12. Re. Getting the hole in the correct place, I've done the following with great success: - get a nice sharp forstner bit - drill a hole in a 12mm (or thicker) piece of MDF and sand the edges on both sides smooth - clamp the MDF over the headstock with the hole exactly where you want the new headstock hole to be - drill using the MDF as a guide. The MDF makes sure that the forstner bit stays exactly where it should.
13. I like the wheels on my Super Twin, but do have to stoop down to wheel it around - in fact I've considered attaching a sort of strap extension thingy. Never bashed my shins though
14. I don't really need it, I can't afford it, but I really, really want it
15. I'd love to do this, but struggling to think how I'll cope with a four string at the gig - will give it some thought
16. My amp originally had the EHX 6550s in it, but one of them died pretty quickly. I replaced them with JJ KT88s and they are still going strong eight years later! I recall preferring the tone of the JJs but don't remember why now
17. Our debut E.P. is out now! A bit of ska/reggae/dub/allsorts £2.37? Bargain! :-) Available on Amazon, iTunes etc. http://www.amazon.co...=dm_ws_sp_ps_dp

19. Surprised to see this up for sale! How does the octave sound compared to the OC2?
20. Great stuff Nigel - I'm pleased that you've landed in a fulfilling and challenging project - I'm looking forward to hearing the album.
21. Nice shot at Wednesday's practice, thought I'd post it here:
22. OBBM to the rescue! Dave has found these: http://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg00093/stereo-1-4-jack-plug-to-plug-2m/dp/AV13691?Ntt=av13691 so the plan is to get a couple, chop one to the correct length and end up with a right angle on each side Thanks for the suggestions BC :-)
