Pancake TRS jacks are out there, but they are wider than regular ones so may not fit. These show up in Amazon but unavailable: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0014CKHKQ?pc_redir=1410443579&robot_redir=1 Searching for pancake trs in eBay shows some ready made cables but none in this country!
Thanks, the pancake ones are very tight on the other jacks, but I think they could be filed to fit.

Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible tour
Roland Rock replied to Cosmo Valdemar's topic in General Discussion
I was a big fan in the early punk/glam days - I first saw them in about 1991 at a tiny gig at Coleraine University, and have seen them at Leicester Demontford and Reading Festival too. I collected their vinyl too, and had every single, even the incredibly rare 1988 self-financed Suicide Alley 7" and the New Art Riot 12" - I sold them for next to nothing when I was a super skint student :-( Enjoy the gig! -
Turn it 180° so that it sticks up, rather than down..? ...or put longer feet on the board..?
Thanks. Sticking up is a last resort. I may try and saw a length off the sheath, or put it as diagonal as possible in conjunction with the longer feet.
What do you need it for? If it's for an fx loop, try and get one of these EBS insert cables:
That stereo Jack looks like the right size. It's to connect the LFO out to the LPF expression in, so each side of the lead needs to have one stereo Jack. Heres a picture of the LPF with a standard neutrik right angled Jack, just to show how I can't have the lead out the side, it has to go down, but it protrudes further than the feet of the pedalboard.
-
Anyone know of a compact, right angled stereo/TRS Jack? Ideally the George L style So far, my best option is to use these and saw a length of the metal off the sheath section http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=NEUNP3RX&browsemode=category

Whats your one bass that you couldn't live without
Roland Rock replied to birdy's topic in General Discussion
I have two basses - one that I use all the time, but the other I have more affection for, and is actually named in my will! Don't make me choose!! -

Superb gated fuzz pedal, but my Synthy needs have been met by my new Subterrenea, so this can go. Works perfectly, condition great but there is some 'jack rub' on the sides from previous owner. Velcro underneath. £110 posted via UPS to mainland UK or collection from Nottingham. Will be packaged in special RR ultimate protection packaging.
The SG Junior scratchplate that you thought was such a massive bargain, after duty was applied, turned out not to be the bargain you thought it would be, so you "told them to just send it back etc etc" did you ever do any homework at school or where you too busy being a HAPPY BUNNIE ! OOOH!
What a strange post - if you're saying that he should have calculated the total cost in advance, I think the point was that the item was unexpectedly hit with an expensive 'collectors item' classification, rather than the standard goods cost.
Mobile phones aint like bits of paper that get 'blow out odf the car window' are they?
Maybe the phone got bent

Excitement today as my Broadcast arrived - not bad timing for a custom build coming from the Dominican Republic! Sounds great, but the tap tempo doesn't work :-( CoPilot chap was great though, and he's sending a replacement out ASAP
Be interesting to see how much this one goes for. This looks a very seriously nice bit of kit to my eyes. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item46287179aa
That's BCer DreadBass' sale. Seems there has been little interest. To be fair, left handed, six strings and fretless is pretty niche :-D
-
That's great! I hadn't thought of the 'mirroring' advantage of teaching a leftie. Three year old mini-RR is showing signs of being a southpaw, and I was just about to break out the cattle prod for some corrective therapy - maybe I'll hold back
-
I played a fretless four at the EM Bass Bash and was really impressed by both playability and tone. TBH this seems like the going rate for the used ones
I've had my Trace from new for 20 odd years, it's proved to be very robust, unlike my spine... that's totally bust.
I suspect a correlation ;-)
Ashdown CTM100 gets my vote. It's a bit wider than the S12 though
Bugger! I have an image if it sitting nicely on your compacts, which were on their sides, and assumed that the S12 was the same width as that
-
The Trace Twin/Quattra Valves are compact if you like the Dualit toaster look
-
My Red Iron sits nicely on the STwin, but is a bit of a one off amp. How about the EBS T90, or I suspect that the Ashdown CTM100 is 19", same as the S12
-
It's like rural groove but a bit busier
-
Silly question, but during these extended periods of non-playing, do you turn the volume down on your bass/mute the signal with a tuner pedal?
-
Do you use a single coil pickup? That can be noisy, especially if you are near an amp. Split/humbucking types will solve this. I believe you can also get hum-free singles as well
i think making personal copy has always been legal; i think its distribution, publication, public performance etc thats always been the issue.
Previously, ANY copying of copyright content, even for personal use, without the permission of the rights holders was illegal. The law is being brought up to date (following the publication of the government's 2012 'Modernising Copyright' document) to reflect new technology use. There are a few grumbles about this private copying exception, because, like JTUK says, it is not crystal clear what can and can't be done with the copies, and the copyright bods want to enure that they/the rights holders will not lose out. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/hargreaves-copyright-techreview http://www.ipo.gov.uk/ia-exception-privatecopy.pdf Pedant Edit: document describes it as unlawful, rather than illegal - not sure what the difference is, if any?
-
For those who have hitherto been afraid to copy their CDs and DVDs onto their computers/phones/clouds for fear of the police squat team breaking the door down - fear not! From the first of October, this will be legal!

Going back to Markbass after GK ( choice of two heads )
Roland Rock replied to flippyfloop's topic in Amps and Cabs
I am going to be putting my Carvin up for sale, as it overhangs the 2 Markbass cabs (thanks again Barrie ), by an inch either side . Sad, yes, but I can see that overhang even looking into the eyes of the beauty in the audience
I'm right with you on that Karl - I can't abide a head overhanging on a cab. I can't rack my amps because it'll make them too wide - I'd rather put up with the extra haulage and connection effort :-D
