1. That's pretty sweet looking
2. Superb!
3. How many hours a day do you practice? A serious question. I don't think I could reach that speed even if I gave up work and sat on the bass 24/7
4. A really mellow and laid back piece. This is exactly why I bought a fretless! Cheers for posting.
5. I felt the same when I had lessons One day, I have promised myself more. (I'm 46 but it's never too late!)
6. When I was a kid, I had both piano and classical guitar lessons. I switched to electric guitar and had to teach myself the rest. A good grounding of years playing scales did help. I have had a few bass lessons and would dearly love more. It is money and time I dont have. One day though, I will have more lessons.
7. The first outing for the band. Just a jam night but we needed to test the waters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3nNrwPTNAo&feature=youtu.be Playing my headless paddle (thanks to Nige, it's my main gigging bass!)
8.
Bring back Keith Emerson, stabbing his Hammond organ I say
Er.........
9.
genetically engineered, no less
What they breed them just to eat bass strings! Now I am scared lol
10.
A wee fillum we made in the studio
Just love the depth you get with that DB. Fantastic
11.
So just wondering, is the singer the most difficult band member to replace or find?
Yes, yes they are. See other threads on here! Most people say 'get a current band member to learn to sing'. Not always easy. Good luck with finding the right person for the job!
12. Not my bag, man. Like it just doesn't do it for me, man. and stuff................ Go to my soundcloud page and you can hear the rubbish I record. No one else likes it but it sure makes me smile!
13. Wow, a one man band that sounds tighter than some of the bands I have seen lol Very impressive and sounds spot on! Still prefer to watch four chaps running about the stage
14. These were taken last Thursday at 'The Pheasant' in Tring. It was a jam night to test out the new band in public We were asked to play a couple of encores, which made us feel good! Blademan
15.
Send them an E-mail, Rotosound have brilliant customer service.
this ^^ I am sure they will help
16. Don't you just need a nice electronic pitch corrector and a cheesy grin? If so, I will be your lead singer!
17. Guitar and keys. Would like to try saxophone and drums
18. I have two dogs and one runs and hides whilst the other looks for the off switch
19. Man up lol Keep it as the new bass syndrome will wear off.
20.
what drives me mad is thar everytime I go to the beach and walk into the sea, I get wet! Every single time!!! I get really angry and people tell me I should not walk into the water then, but then I would not be able to feel the water on my legs!!! Why can't they comprehend that??? Dumb people...
This made my day
21.
I thought, " we gunna mime so lets not pay Pino, grab one of the game volunteers" Athletes have to train for four years to perform live and have blood tests in case they cheat, Then they plan a musical finale' in front of the world to celebrate British music, and crap miming should be band full stop.
I agree, you try putting yourself out as a covers band and then mime! This is why I rarely play the original line....... (it's nothing to do with my crap playing, honest!)
22.
Perhaps they want a bass player that sounds like a guitarist playing bass. Not a bass player that sounds like a bass player playing a bass.
I had better apply then After 30 years playing guitar badly, I thought I would switch to playing bass badly instead.......
23. I used to have a lot of covers on YouTube with my old band. The management company for the Rolling Stones didn't like it much and got my site pulled I lost heart for a while and have not posted any covers since on YouTube. My new band uses Lemonrock.co.uk as that pays the PRS licence for covers posted.
24. In my current band, the singer set the band up. He is a really great guy and I am happy to stand at the back and move air! If I could sing I would, but we can't all be gifted with a great singing voice
25. I want to sing lead. The band gave me a go. Now I don't have a mic
