1.
I wouldn't want one though, they only do 'dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum' for 30 years.
mine does that too (I thought it was broken!)
2. I'd like one of the fan fretted basses and a nice big Double Bass. The rest don't bother me that much lol I would of course buy a huge collection if I had the money but as I don't I am quite happy with what I have. Oh go on then, I'll have a Ricky 4003 just to keep up with the rest
3. I just set up my fretless and jumped on here to give the results.... Then I saw your thread and decided to add the comment here My problem was that I could not play the first two notes on any of the strings (F F# / A# B etc) I altered the truss rod (slackend it off) and then tweaked the bridge and it plays great now! It had been fine until I decided to hang it on the wall instead of keeping on a stand. I went for my lesson on Wednesday and it was awful (the bass not the lesson!). All sorted for this week
4.
If you looked that Paul I would be ready for some more lessons!
Where do I sign up
5. If we get paid, it's a good gig. If we get rebooked, it was fantastic. I am never happy with the way I play. No one ever comments on a few bad notes because they don't feel them the way the artist does
6. We're so pleased to be with you
7. Something like this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/usb-guitar-interface-222445 cheaper on the bay lol Use your line out from your amp. Audacity is good free recording software. Blademan
8. Big grin on my face. Just got to love the Electric Light Orchestra! Thanks for the memory
9. The Jam Learning the Town called Malice bassline. (trying to transcribe it into score not tab )
10. Can you post pictures? I may be interested in the pair. Thanks Blademan
11.
A small threat board? No good to me, I like LARGE threat boards! My basses have things like " I'm a punch you in the throat and shank ya!" engraved between the frets. I wouldn't play a bass that didn't have the threat of physical violence (or similar) somewhere on it. I'll stop now.
Dratttttt you beat me to it Just imagine going to a gig and the bass player only has a small threat of violence. How disappointing.......
12.
These delusional idiots do less damage posting overpriced musical instruments on ebay than they do when they're running major banks and other financial institutions. Let's leave them posting on ebay. Otherwise who knows where they might end up and what damage they will do to the economy.
I just love this forum
13. If you do both you get a good clean sound from the DI you can play with in the mix and the 'true' sound from the mic. When playing live, the PA will be solid state but will amplify without changing the signal (much lol). Do both for the full picture (especially if recording). Blademan
14.
Mustang Sally always goes down a storm. Everyone on here loves it....
Beat me too it
15. Welcome to the forum
16. Strings Battery Gaffer tape spare lead When I used to do sound I took a complete toolkit but I don't do that much anymore
17. I don't take a spare. I make sure it works and take spare strings. Nothing to do with how many I have just praticality of amount of equipment
18. Because I alternate between Bass and Guitar in the same gig I only take one of each plus strings for both. I would take spares but would need a roadie
19. I hope my misses doesn't get any ideas After 24 years she still tolerates me! Sorry to hear your predicament and if I get the chance I will relieve you of the Epiphone - 5 string acoustic
