2. now I double GAS... this german thing, and one customised Minimat... better get offline now! Have a free bump!
3. ok, now I'm drooling. Minimat modified for bass?
4. picture would be appreciated, thanks.
5. and again... wrong forum maybe? I can ship agains a tenner too!
6. definitely a serie 1, I suggest you change the thread name... I own both, A-B'd them and serie 1 sounds definitely better to my ears anyway!
7. I bought a bag of 24 of these, and I wanted the bag of 24 non-XL ones. If anyone has a bag they want to swap... mine are the red ones, the bag is not even opened! I just messed it up on a larger Thomann order... p
8. Thanks for the props, I'll pass the love to Pierre next time I seem him ;-) both are B > C. both are 35" scale too.
9. ok I finally had the time to take pictures... First is a custom 6-string neck-through. Ebony fingerboard. Sugar maple body and neck, seasoned for 20 years before used. Barto quad coils passives. Made by Pierre Laporte, a fantastic luthier based in Montréal. And this second one is also from Pierre Laporte. A custom 6-string acoustic. Based around the Thomastik-Infeld nylon strings, it has a cedar top, mostly a classical guitar, but lower ;-) Ebony fingerboard. RMC piezo. I could have show more pictures of each, but it takes ages to do and I've got to play them now ;-) Let's finish with a quick picture of the master luthier in his show, checking on my tuning (I am in the UK now so I adjust the basses myself for many years... his scrutiny was a little intimidating ;-) [sharedmedia=core:attachments:79139]
10. has this been sorted?
11. pictures and serial number (and/or confirmed vintage) are usually what people are looking for in that market... just trying to help ;-)
12. Karlfer, you know that 5.3 vs 4 Ohms is just a couple of dB difference... and the 3 speakers would probably be louder than a 2x12 for instance... the maths are difficult and definitely not straighforward!
13. Spec Savers do molded ones. I use the Rock kit, which comes with 5 different dampings. Expensive but worth it as far as my ears are concerned...
14. I am soooooooo tempted please someone buy this before I succumb! On a more musical side, anymore comments on the sound vs matamp and fender (and any other tube gear you know so well) is welcome... p
15. btw it might sound like I am trying to get some credit out of Andrew's genius, but far from that! I just helped with my ears and measuring tools;-) have a bump on my ego ;-)
16. wow it's so ugly it's beautiful! I think I might have helped design the new mid eq of your modded box... ask Andrew about PA from the uni... anyway good luck with the sale... hopefully it will go quick as I might buy it for the look ;-)
17. Thanks for the offer but in the end I decided not to sale and to have it modified to blackface specs and use it as a guit amp! Thanks p
18. I did not think of trades, but make an offer, worse case I'll say no, thanks
19. Oh, I forgot to say: the cab is a fake Fender by chinese Soundcity. It is said to be 16 Ohms but I've modded it to make it 4 ohms as this is what the head asks for... p
20. --- edit - changed my mind again --- Ok, here we go. I have bought this amp in December on this list, and played it in rehearsals. To much distortion for me, so I went for a Matamp (200 watts clean - custom stuff) and boom! I am happy - though not my bank account as I bought it new ;-) Anyway, here is the original thread of my purchase: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1457692
