1. Just done a trade deal with Chris. Very easy comms and a great guy to deal with.He was even good enough to travel from birmingham to Leicester to complete the deal. I'd deal with him again no problem.

4.
Please tell me why folks think they can buy gear, use it for a few months and then make more money than the dealer did...in the present economic climate....
A guy once offered me a wedge of money for a very nice Status I had that was mint. He was going to get one made, but figured even if he paid me over the odds, he was still getting a mint an new bass for about £700 less then he'd pay new. On the other hand I paid maybe over the odds for another Status from Bass Direct that was being sold on comission. 18 months later I still have it, and it's a keeper, so money well spent Horses for courses innit
5.
That thing would drive me mental - have you any idea how long it would take me to get it to sound exactly like a Precision?
Come on, you can get a plank of wood from B&Q with 4 elastic bands pulled tightly on it to sound like a precision. Be hard pushed to tell the difference.
6. Nice twin neck Status synthy thingy. Been an interesting build thread that would. May be more info on it over on Statii.com
7. Took the flats off my recently re aquired Status S2 5er and put a set of light gauge roundwounds back on it, quick set up and had a blast playing it again. I sold this bass 3 years ago and just bought it back, this bass is "the one" I was like a tw*t for selling it, and was very lucky to get it back. I drove a 600 mile round trip to Glasgow and back to pick it up last Saturday, worth every mile. Also completed a trade of my Dingwall 5er for a very nice Jazz, and to top it all off, played Black Country Communion 2 VERY LOUD in the car. All in all a very good top day.
8. Looks like a job for Bilbo san. It'll beat all this Jazz tosh.........................runs for cover

10. So, here are my three S2 Classics. First photo is of the S2 6er and S2 5er, both headed, both thru neck. The 6er is almost Moo wood, and the 5 is Burr Madrone. As far as i know the 6er is the only one of it's type in existence. It has an extra pup and extra bass boost, which it don't really need, and is mental. I'm thinking of getting it modded to have the new parametrics installed. The 5 string has only just come back into my possesion. I owned it from new, and had to sell it when times were hard. This bass came back up for sale here 2 weeks ago, by Erik, who is the guy I sold it to. This bass is the best S2 I've ever owned by a mile, we have all sold a bass we have regretted selling, and this one was mine. I'm very lucky to get it back, and this time, it's going nowhere. I did own the Miss Myrtle 5er at one point, but this one is better than that. The second photo is my S2 6er headless bolt on. Again I bought it new, and again like a idiot I sold it, and after it went thru 3 owners I bought it back. It was up for sale again recently as I needed to raise funds to get the 5er back, but I've not had to sell it, so I can keep all three. Happy Boy ! 12.
It's a free bump and a compliment, so no I don't find it in the least bit annoying. Quite the opposite in fact!
This.

14. The first bass bashes we had were at a pub just off the M1 going down towards Northampton, can't remember the name of the pub, but they were well attended. I'd come down from Derbyshire for it, if it were at the same venue.
15. Bump, with trade option of a Precision plus cash my way
16. P for me as it would come in handy for firewood !
17. Thanks for the heads up on this, just managed to tune in just as his bit started.
18. I was actually in a Wishbone Ash tribute band for a time. Clarkpegasus who is also on here was in it before me. Great tunes to play.
19.
I didn't know you had the bass again John! Fantastic bass this! Absolutely phenomenal bass, and incredibly beautiful! John is a top guy too all, have no fear
Hi Mate, I bought it back thinking it would be a good idea to have 2 S2 6ers, but it's proving not to be the case, so this ones for sale.
