1. I've done a couple of deals with John and it's always a pleasure to do business with him, top dude.
2. OK, I've changed the title of the thread to "transitional" I've PM'ed the OP to tell him I've done it,and why. It's up to him if he still want's 2K for it wether it's worth it or not, and up to the individual if they want to pay 2K or not. So let's not get into a bun fight over pricing please. In the interests of other's trying to sell stuff let's let this one lie, unless the OP revises his price etc. Ta
3. Zig Answer my PM's so we can sort the deal out on this after your offer. Cheers
4. <-------------------- Geddy say's " I loved my twin neck back in the day, Zanadoooooooooooooooooo, ooooooooooooooo" Now that's what you call a Ricky. Anybody on here ever have a Ricky twin neck?
5. I had one exactly the same as this, also bought from the Bass Centre in Birmingham in 1998, it wouldn't surprise me if this one is from the same batch as mine. Brilliant bass.
6. Hope the sound quality is better than the DVD, it's dire. I watched the DVD last night

8.
Thats a lovely pic, Bluejay!
+1 Very nice Bluejay. Great fretless, I'll take one of me on me little practice amp. I'll keep me ankles covered up tho' if you don't mind.
9. OP edited and thread cleaned up Thanks to all for their understanding
10.
did you get my pm?
This bass was for sale in 2009, so there's a fair chance it's sold.
11.

Sorry mate, the threads got to be locked.
12.
I can only agree wholeheartedly with this. If I click on a For Sale item (even if it's something I think I have desperate GAS for) and it has no pics, then I immediately go somewhere else in disgust and never return, ever! What's worse is no pics but with the promise that 'I will put pics up later'. Why would anyone do this? Wait until you've got the damn pics ready, then post the topic! What's the matter with yo
I've posted a bass for sale thread at work and then put the pics up once I've got home. Especially if I'm trying to sell a bass to buy another one that's just come up. Can't see a problem with it as long as the pic's are up sharpish
13.
JH is active on this site.
No he's not. It was a current member that opened an account in Mr Hall's name
14.
If you want to save yourself a few quid you're in luck mate. Possibly not the real thing though, WoT's got one for sale and it's black!!! http://basschat.co.u...kinbetter-copy/
Nah, too expensive, and the wrong shade of black.
15.
A mate of mine loves Ricks, has a few guitars all fairly new, and a 4001. He's had to send a couple of the guitars back to be replaced because of QC issues and poor finishing, he has a (360?) 12 string that has a tuning peg route that was totally messed up at the factory, and his 4001 had to have a new nut and full set up at the Gallery to stop the G falling off the side of the neck when played. The string mute adjuster keeps falling off too, awful bridge design. He still loves them but readily admits he's more often than not disappointed with the quality and quality control. He has to work had to get a good one, because they make so few of them. He's taken five years to get four that he's happy with, and even two of those needed work at his own expense I love the look of the 4001 basses, but I can't buy stuff from someone who behaves so pathetically, even if I wanted to, which I don't because they play so badly and are so poorly designed.
So what they need, as well as a sane CEO, is a decent Quality Engineer, which is where I come in, so Mr Hall, fire your Quality Manager and Quality Engineer, cause' they are clearly crap, and apoint me instead. Go on I dare you. Seriously I have just recently aquired Ricky GAS and was looking for a black one. Needless to say Mr Hall, can now stick it. I've always thought the build quality was crap, but I just fancied one. When you have to spend extra dosh to get a brand new bass put right something is clearly very wrong. Congratulations Mr Hall for shooting yourself in the foot big style. I'm friggin' disgusted.
16. Hope it's better than Snakes and Arrows, I've been a lifelong Rushie but I didn't "get" that album at all
17. May even travel down from Derbyshire for this, Be fun if we all decended on The Gallery, Alex would wonder what had hit him.
18. Oi, leave Bob alone. It's either Morrissey or the dance in front of the drum kit dude by a mile. I friggin' hated The Smith's Twiddley Twonkery of the highest order.
19. I have no issue with it as long as the performance is OK. Band members who want too will normally muck about at rehearsal if they've had a drink or not. I only have an issue with it at gigs if it affects the performance. With my current band the band like a drink, except me cause i have to drive after, and there is no drop in performance from the rest of them, which is fine. If the rehearsal is for up and coming show's then they need to get their finger out and nail the tunes, if not then just chill out a bit.
20.
So many people say this..... but as stated above..... it's something he's done at gigs as a showpiece.... have a listen to any of the Level 42 albums and it's not there at all...
What he said.
