3. Can we all be a little more careful in future making jokey references of this kind as it may affect someones, business/reputation. I'm editing the comments out. Case closed. Back on topic please.

 5. Arrive for rehearsal at 7.30pm prompt with rest of band, except female singer, who turns up a 9.40pm just as we have given it up and are packing the gear up. "Sorry I'm late" says she, "I've just been to my mates to have my hair done"
 6.
May take that 2.5XL if you dont mind hanging til January for when I get paid.. May be purchasing quite a few things on here, for the new year, haha!
Drop me a PM in January and if it's still here it's no problem.
 7. What about when you are given a list of songs to learn for audition and then when you turn up they can't remember which songs they asked you to learn, and then say well we can't do that one anyway, the drummer don't know it. Or, learning the song's for audition and the guitarist don't know them because he is useless, "well he don't know them because we haven't played for six month's. To which i said, it's no excuse, he's had six months to learn them then. Same band, same audition. The singer comes to see me on a short break from the rehearsal and asks if my other band needs a singer, because he's tired of this lot. Same band, same audition. The female key player and the guitar player are constantly arguing. Turns out they are father and daughter. I am asked to join the band, I tell them I'll think it over. Before the next rehersal I phone them to tell them I'm not interested. They say it's OK as they are folding the band as the father and daughter Guitarist and Keys don't get on and they can't stand the sight of each other. Spinal Tap at it's best.
 8. Just remember. If the bass is coming from the USA you will probably get hammered for the VAT when it comes through customs.

 10.
I've always found Gator and SKB very solid, and have just picked up a Swan Flight sleeve that appears to be very well built. Boschma are supposed to be good, though I've never used one.
I've always had Gator and my current one is an SBK, excellent value and very reliable
 11. This used to be my bass and it's an amazing piece of kit. Fianso is also super to do business with, so buy in confidence.
 12.
Quite fancy his autobiography which is due out soon if not already on sale. He's had quite a colourful life and has always remained a nice guy throughout his various difficult times. Great singer and an amazingly talented bassist into the bargain. Dave
autobiography is out now and well worth a read. Once i started to read it i could not put it down
 13.
I'm picking up here that you might be a Glenn Hughes fan. I am very much enjoying Black Country Communion at the moment in which his bass playing and singing are astronomical, guess you might like it too. The BCC version of Medusa - the vocal gets the hairs on my neck going!
been a massive Hughes fan since purple. Im so glad he's sorted himself out and is now sober. Bcc 2 is an incredible cd. I've met Glenn a few times and he's always been a gent .
 14.
Again... memories... I saw them first of all during the 'Burn' tour when the new boys Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale.
Super super super Glenn super Glenn super Glenn super super super Glenn super Glennie Hughesey. He can still sing both Coverdale and Gillan under the table. Saw, and met Glenn a couple of weeks ago at one of his accoustic shows, superb.
 15. Played at Chester at Chesterfield on Friday night, we went down very well. It was the first gig I'd used my new amp, an Ashdown Labs MK500. It's the bright red Mark King signature thingy. I played my Status S2 six string bass, and the amp brought the bass alive, incredible tone. The amp was set flat with zero EQ, just the tone from the bass, awesome. Bass amp GAS killed in one.
 16. I've had the bass back from Jon about a month now, and took it to band rehearsal yesterday. It sounds immense, it's easily the best sounding jazz I've ever had. The sound is even all over the neck, and if you thought a Geddy jazz had growl, you should hear this baby. I'll get photos up when I can.
 17.
I think you need to sit down and say to the guitarist are you in or out? If he can't make practises, gigs etc then why should he be allowed to stay in the band. If I can't make it to work then why should I still remain employed. No difference here. Either got shot of the guitarist if he won't commit or find a new band.
100% correct, he's either got to commit or leave. If it ends up too much hassle then find another band yourself. If she's kicking off now just imagine what she will be like once you get regular gigs rolling in.
 18. Black Country Communion 2 Superb album, the best I've heard in ages. Hughes Bonnamassa Bonham Sherinian What a friggin band.
