1.
Warwick? *spit* Status is the One True Buzzard.
+1 on that. I played one of JE's Buzzards at the Status factory, Rob was going to deliver it to JE the next day. The action was unbeliveably low. When Warwick pulled the plug on the Status Buzzards I swore I'd never own a Warwick. The Status was way ahead.

3. +1 SHOCKWAVE DON'T DO IT !!!!! THAS MENTAL !!!!!! TRADING THIS FOR A WARWICK !!!!!!
4. I've always fought GAS very well until recently when I got massive GAS for a Shuker after playing Doods "Doodle" thats when I ordered my soon to be delivered Headless 6 off Jon. Then I sold my Status Eclipse that I had for 6 years and bought a Stingray, had all of 3 days when a beautiful Sei 6 came up on the forum, so the Rays gone and I'm now driving myself mad having to wait for the Shuker to be finished and the Sei to be available for collection in 3 weeks when the seller will let it go. One I have the Shuker and the Sei to go with my Status S2 classic 5er, I'm determined thats it ! I've driven about 500 miles in the last 3 weeks delivering and picking up Basses, and I've had enough. The Sei has always been a dream Bass so that will never go I think
5. Sad news on 2 fronts, Number 1, the finish of my Bass is held up because Jon can't get tuners for it. Number 2 its because the supplier of headless tuners to Jon has sadly died suddenly. So if my Bass is held up, so what ! I know what is most important. Status have their headless tuners from the same suppplier it turns out. I will update further when Jon has sourced a new supplier.
6. In the last band that I helped put together, everyone left me to try to get the other musicians though adds on Musofinder, mainly because they couldn't be arsed. They then started moaning when they thought they were not up to scratch, and left it to me to break the bad news. This is one of the reasons I luuuuuurve bands so much !! I'm in the process of putting another together at the moment, and I'm not looking forward to it at all. Decent keyboard players are difficult to find though in my experience, if you get a half decent one, hold on with all your might !
7. Go for it, you will learn more quicker than any tutor will teach you, plus its a blast !
8. I have a Trantec System One I'm going to auction on here and donate the proceeds to Basschat. I've just bought and sold a few Basses on here so I've decided to put a bit back into the forum. The Trantec works fine. The frequency is 173.1mhz. The only cost I will take out will be to cover P&P. I am however going to put a £30 reserve on it ! The auction starts NOW ! Please post bids on the thread. It will close at 10pm Sunday the 26th of August. Thanks John

10. Nowdays I tend to stick with Cover / Tribute stuff. No matter if its original or covers, getting a group of "musicians" together and actually getting them to agree on what should be played is an accomplishment in itself. I played in a NWOBHM band that was signed to an indie label about 20 years ago with some success, but with all the label and management hassles it was a nightmare. Bottom line is I'm easy about it, if the original music is good, I don't mind doing it. All this intelectual tosh about not being a proper muso if you play covers is Bo**ocks, just ask Girls Aloud !

15. Ive reduced the price on the Ray, please PM with offers
16. I just have one pint of Lager, normally before we start, and then a pint of Shandy up on stage with me for if I get a bit parched. Only ever played once when Pi**ed and it was not good and that was about 15 years ago, since then I decided never again. Last band I played in 3 out of 6 band members were drinking to much on a regular basis and forgetting lyrics and screwing up their playing as well etc.
17.
I had a look at it today while I was visiting him. It looks nice - the black hardware (when it finally arrives) will set off the light woods very nicely. I really liked how comfortable the body was and told Jon I wanted mine identical in shape to yours. My neck profile is going to be different though - a bit chunkier so my left hand doesn't cramp up.
Thanks for the update, I can't wait to get it. The Shuker and the Sei will go very well together.
18. Just a quick update. I spoke to Jon yesterday and he is still waiting for the hardware to finish it off. The pups are in and he says I might be able to collect it next week !!
19.
However, I suspect it's actually due to the new, more stable Basschat that we've attracted more people to sell their gear!
I think you are right. Ive just sold a Status Eclipse on here, bought a Stingray, selling it again, and buying one of the Sei's. I have been surprised by all the Warwicks for sale though. The thing is, there is a lot of quality stuff for sale on here all the time. It is very hard to surpress the GAS, trust me I know. Once I've got the Sei, the backline will be next, I just know it ! Congratulations to all concerned for setting up an excellent site.
20. Ive added more pics by request, and also the serial number. Thanks John
