1. a choice of duration would be good, so you could set 10 seconds, or 2 minutes or infinite etc.
2. Just downloaded and it works really well! Could we have an audio click/bleep as well which can be muted? I'll try and do a quick icon but design is not my forte! EDIT: Here you go, it's crap, probably no better than nothing to be honest http://creepjoint.co.uk/livebpm.jpg
3.
Jeez, you guys heard of Google? http://www.ollapp.co...k-track/android
Not available yet? that "Metronome: Tempo" app looks like it'll do the job. it's 65p though and i've not yet added a payment method to my phone so can't try it at the moment.
4. I have metronome apps and one of them allows tap tempo. All you need to add is a "save as..." button. the program would then save the tempo, you type in a name, it stores it as name.tempo and then you can open these files from within the metronome app. I've done some programming in the past but I have no idea how to do android apps
5. Good idea. If you could have an audio click for the drummer to play along to as well, this would be the perfect app for me.
6. yep, sorted. If you like the sound then long term you might be better off with just a power amp, rather than the shuttle
7. why do you want your rack in the loop? Does it have a blend control? If so, I don't think it's possible. If you just want them in the loop for some other practical reason, then plug your ampeg pre into the rack, and then rack into the FX return as usual
8. ahhh well. I actually love an expression pedal on multi-effects. Being able to control the rate of a phaser for example, is something you can't do with regular "stomp boxes".
9. If you can get on one of the dance nights at The Old Brown Jug it'd suit you but it's probably too small a venue. Fat Cats in Hanley would be good but again you'd struggle to get people there. I'll have to make the effort and get to a gig in Nottingham.
10. if you assigned the expression pedal input to input gain (and you didn't need it for something else) you could have a pot wired to that jack, or even just a resistor to fix it at a certain value.
11. Sorry, no, I couldn't face it after visiting at hospital. I regret it this morning but hey ho that's what I get for being a moody w***er! It's really difficult to get people in there on a week night. Sometimes even at the weekend. Stoke is very much stuck in a rut of hair metal and indie bands, which is why I was so looking forward to seeing you.
12. I'll be the one staring at your pedalboard with a cushion in my lap
13. I can't get anyone to come with me but will be attending on my lonesome, all things being well.
14. Could you not just put that pot inside the B3 then? Maybe if they release the software update for it that will contain an input gain control.
15. would you not just turn down the output on your bass? I'm not sure of your signal chain but it would be the obvious solution
16. did you manage to stop it clipping Dood?
17. weird, I kind of do the opposite. I listen to the song as normal, but play the bass an octave higher until I've worked out the bassline.
18. Just bought a pedal from Paul, it arrived within a day or two of payment - couldn't have been quicker. It was well packed etc. An all round thouroughly pleasant experience. experience.
19. well, deffinitely trust your ears on this It will alter the gain level going into your effects chain, so your comp will deffinitely behave differently unless you change the input gain or threshold setting. You should also notice the effect of the different gain level on the other pedals too - overdrive will have more "drive" with more gain, envelope follower will have more or less "range" and/or "sensitivity" I'm being a bit vague as I don't know whether the input gain will have gone up or down, but either way, if you're happy with the sound, stick, with it!
20.
What about the heavy bass fuzz on the Beatles' 'Think For Yourself' in 1965?
just checked out his diary, I didn't realise most of his stuff was from the 70s onwards. I should have known I didn't have the knowledge for a topic like this! I just thought it was the one area where the comparison works.
21. was anyone else using effects on bass like LG before he did it?
22. I hardly ever play bass at home. I used to play un-plugged a lot but I don't really enjoy that any more. If I want to enjoy playing bass I have to plug in. I do play a lot of guitar though
23. I guess SFX would do one. My blender from them has two knobs and the box isn't much bigger than this micro size.
24. One of the things I love about Hendrix was his use of effects and weird guitar sounds, and I like to think this was as important/influencial as his actual playing. Same goes for Larry Graham on bass, so in that respect, it's a good comparison.
25. oh my, I would love to play through that
