1. I listened to this last night at home with my sub. I really like it! Especially the tracks with MCs (I get bored easy). To be honest I thought your sounds in general could have been "fatter" - more overdrive or something? It's difficult to describe the sounds i'm imagining in my head. Obviously you'd probably disagree as it's a personal thing and no doubt you've been through millions of sounds to get what you want. You should try and get a gig at The Sugarmill in Stoke. They have drum n bass and hip hop nights, although I don't know if they've had any live bands at them. I'd deffinitely come to watch you guys! In fact i've just texted the manager your band name as he'd love your stuff.
2. Marshall echohead is ace, very cheap, and will tap tempo if you plug in a momentary footswitch. I also like my DD-20 but that's a bit more pricey.
3. I find that playing a line an octave up with my OC-2 on blended often sounds fatter than playing open strings. I do have some overdrive and compression going on as well though. I play 6 strings but still do this for a fatter sound than the low B. I guess it's a personal thing.
4. weird, i've never actually tested that out before. Maybe in one mode the pot is adjusting the return level where on the other it's adjusting the send level. That would be unexpected. I've had phasing issues before, depending on what pedals are in the loops, but it sounds like you're testing it with no pedals in either loop?!
5. Shep - what's the little yellow box with a nuclear symbol on? I've never noticed that before
6. I forgot about this and just caught up. It looks great! and your sound insulation is pretty damn impressive.
7.
Ladies and gentlemen....Miss Kittie Rachea
Where did you find a front woman 'round here? I've been looking for ages (although not very hard).
8. why not give yourself an extra option?
9. I do this fairly often. Lately i've been working on "lets get it on" - playing the bassline and the vocal line at the same time. It's really cool and one day i'll use it to seduce my girlfriend.
10. If I go in to buy, it's for thumb picks or 6 string sets or big fat drum sticks - basically whatever weird little thing you haven't got in stock that day I don't go out shopping really, but if I am in a town and there's a music shop i'll look at the used gear, anything weird, especially pedals. Sometimes I buy stuff, sometimes not.
11.
You been busy with the grey paint, or just the saturation control?
haha, yeh, I f***ed about with it in photoshop trying to make it look nice as my phone's camera isn't great. Anyway, when I realised i'd made a mess of it I also realised i'd written over the original file
12. yeh I use the LS-2 and have one chain which goes: comp, ODB3, EQ - and this is like my low end. Then the other chain has more dirt, some modulation and the wah probe.
13.
Think a clearout is coming along.
Please, I don't think my wallet can take it!!!
14. This is what I was using on Friday. I messed about trying to get some of these synthy sounds. I love using the OC-2 with loads of dirt and a wah. Also, the low pass filter on the XP-100 is ace!!
15.
In white as in unfinished.
I always thought white meant painted white?!? Anyway it sounds like a cool bass. I've never seen basses with a bit of bark left on the wood, i'd love to see some pics of that if anyone can link me?
16. I've always liked wish basses but never played one. I'm confused though, are you going for the "gnarliest whorley wood you can find, looking like it has been found in a swamp. Bark inclusions welcome" which sounds ace, or are you getting it in white?

Delay!

oh, that's a downer!
18. I'm trying it at the moment on my laptop. It's frustrating to be so slow again, but i'm sure i'll learn this faster than cubase. One thing i'm missing is a list of keyboard shortcuts - anyone got one?

Delay!
My only issue with the Echo Park was that it was noisy when daisy-chained with other effects. I thought it was a good delay though.
That happens with digital pedals if you don't supply enough current for the whole chain - do you think it might be that?

Delay!

the marshall jackhammer is very good, very cheap, but you need an external pedal for tap tempo - they are quite cheap too, but the two together probably add up to the cost of some of these other recommendations.
21. Not seen you in a while Cantdosleepy!!! Thanks for the vid
22. It sounds like you have one of those jack to USB leads for recording your guitars, and that's working fine. This is a kind of interface isn't it? If you have a pedal just to raise up the level a bit and then add some EQ in your DAW it should be fine. I used to record everything through my 4 track as a pre straight into the on-board line-in on my PC. It was a little noisey but perfect for demos.
23. It looks like the LEDs are blinding - can you still see your pedal settings? Nice board anyway!
24. I'd hav your octave at the start. Also, your envelope follower might sound better before any compression and/or dirt. It's a personal thing, but i'd have it at the start just after the octaver
