Basically, if there's a jack in the input, the LED is on, no matter what you do with the footswitch. It doesn't seem to make any difference in tone so I guess it's bypassed? But with the LED on. It's been like this since I got it (used off here), I stupidly left it too long to test it after receiving it. (3 weeks) Any ideas?

The kick has more of a bearing on what i'm going to play, than it does on my "feel", so in a way, yes E.G I might write a bassline that is synched to the kick and snare pattern, but when i'm playing that line, even though it's "locked in" i'm still "feeling" the hats. Talking about performing music can get pretty vague and confusing!

It's not that I concentrate on the right hand, it's just that I think that's where I get my "feel" from.

That's pretty cool, but, if you wanted all that flexibility, wouldn't you just buy a programmable pre-amp/multi effects unit?

I'd guess it was the guitar amp. The other way round would be a bit illogical.

I'd like criticism about my band(s). I don't think anyone's ever given me anything other than positive feedback, which is no good other than for an ego boost.

I can change strings on the day as long as I stretch them, the same as for a guitar.

Bang on OG. The ammount of times i've told the bassist how bad the drummer was and he just says "nout I can do"...

I normally hate basses with the spikey bit at the bottom, but I love that!

I bought 2 M-Audio delta 1010lt cards for about £60 each, and a sh*t 24 channel mixer for £30, which means I can record up to 20 tracks simultaneously for £150 (plus mics and cables, stands etc etc).

I play a 6 string. I play lots of chords but also use the higher strings on their own sometimes. There is quite a noticable difference in tone for the high C (much more like guitar than bass) IMO so if this bass has another string higher than that, I can see why they're considering these differently. Making them fretless would avoid the attacky sound you get off frets, and any buzz, thus making it a bit more bass-like. So, it all makes a bit of sense to me. However, only having the bridge pup for those two strings?!? What's that all about?

I've done samples of my board in the past but been so embarassed by how it sounds i've never posted. Playing in a band, through my amp, my board sounds amazing, but DI'd solo bass...... eugh.

there's a difference between cutting through and contributing to the overall sound. A lot of bands don't need a bass sound that cuts through, the low rumble to reinforce the guitars is enough.

I was asking about the PSU as I used to use two of them until the hum got rediculous. I would have thought the two akai pedals would require at least 500Ma between them, which is the limit of your DC brick, but if it works for you...
