1. AFAIK It doesn't matter what the pedal says it can output, if your PSU can supply enough current for the board, it doesn't matter if it goes in and out of your Tuner. If you're worried about it there are plenty of daisy chain adaptors which will fit the end of your PSU plug instead of having to come out of a pedal.
2. BUMP of desperation. Where are all the Stokies?
3.
Been round this one a few times eh Tom?
Heh, you can say that again!! This is why we've cut out the crap gigs, and we're keeping in touch with promoters much more etc.
4.
I am just wondering if gigs are worth doing these days, or not as many as the old days. Just seems to be less of of scene these days for original bands. Do you think thats because of the recession, lack of money, health and safety shutting places down, lack of venues, to many bands and not enough places to play etc??
No that's just the impression you get from playing crap gigs. Hold out for Friday and Saturday nights in decent venues.
5.
... and how they complain about the promotor but do nothing themselves ..
Yes, there is that, but it would be nice if the promotor actually did some promoting. In stoke, they will put band names on a poster in the venue and maybe on the door of the venue. Apart from that there is absolutely nothing. Anyone can book bands and hand out tickets, promotors should be promoting shouldn't they?
6. Around here if it's your first time at a venue, the promotor only calls with last minute gigs and demands you sell a sh*t load of tickets. The idea is he sees what you're made of and decides whether to call you back in the future.
7. Can't you just tell him what roots to play and he can work out the chords?
8.
Crikey! We could all do with some of those. Any chance of a list?
Our bassist is a 6th form teacher, so when we're in Stoke, we guarantee at least 20 mental kids moshing up front. Also, when we play in Stoke we generally know the venues etc. If you want to come play in Stoke we can guarantee you a crowd but not a bed as our house tends to get crowded after gigs. Our bassist also reckons he can pack the London gigs, but the proof will be in the pudding.

Boss ODB-3

I used mine as a low end boost and low end distortion IE I blended it with another distortion which I used for my top end. I can't listen to the clip so can't comment on that, but basically if you want lots of gain/distortion/fuzz then it's not for you, likewise if you want it to increase your top end, it's not the pedal for you. This is why people call it Fizzy etc, because they have the gain too high and the treble knob too high.
10. Looking good!!
11. Most of the info is in the thread title. You can check out our music here: www.myspace.com/creepjointmusic I play the drums, but the bassist will be using my monstor pedalboard. We really need to support for this one as it's our first one at the Sugarmill with this new band, so if anyone actually wants to go could we sort out me selling you a ticket before hand? This way we have more chance of gigs there in the future.
12. We played a hell of a lot of sh*t gigs and got seriously tired of it, not to mention broke. In my new band, we're stricly only doing gigs where we know for a fact we will play to more than 20 odd people, where we know we'll get paid (even just for petrol) and where we know we can have a good night (IE stay over or leave the gear over night or basically not have to drive). It's going well so far, but we're going to do some London gigs soon and I sense it may be the return of the toilet gig.
13. Nice one but I can't see half the pedals! Anyone with an XP-100 on their board is allright by me!
14. Ahhh, too far
15. Where are you? EDIT: Sorry, it does say NW but could you be more specific?
16. I bet you could find a schematic to build one, and it would be very easy. What's the model number?
17. Cool, I really want one of these. An in depth review in the reviews section would be most appreciated!
18. Boss LS-2 is a good suggestion
19. I've done it, but I think blocking the soundhole would have helped. I had to angle myself away from my amp, turn it down, and put my noise gate on. At lower volumes it shouldn't be too bad. We've recently done a lot of guitars on an album i'm making by playing an electro acoustic into a distorted practice amp and we've had no feedback issues (standing very close to the amp)
20. NOT RELATED SPECIFIALLY TO JANEK I HATE the fact that some people think that when I express a negative opinion about someone else it's all about my own insecurities. It's not.
21. lol, not that I want to start a pick related argument, but it IS just a peice of plastic.
22.
Is it ridiculous of me to have "blended loop GAS"? Actually, no. I had plectrum GAS a few weeks back...
Plectrum GAS sounds like a serious psychological issue. Perhaps you need some therapy?
23. I used to blend 2 loops of distortion and fuzz all the time. I then blended that with clean. Very punchy!!!
24. Cool, I quite fancy a kit pedal. RE the "both" option - you can never have enough dirt pedals on at once. It would have been better if it was a blend of the two though.
25. That is a nice rig!!! On your looper, when you select both, is it A->B or A+B and if it's the latter do you get volume issues? WTF is a Moodysounds Hjärt Müller?
