2.
walles
Stop playing Jazz with our language!
3.
I'm doing this on Thursday evening: mixer -> stereo mic input on camera. No mixing / syncing required later.
It might be worth putting a mic at the back of the room and feeding that to the tape outputs but not the PA.
4. Ta, that's what I was looking for. Now i'll attempt to put it in the Wiki. EDIT: I've done it!!!
5. There should be a guide on how to set up a bass either stickied or in the Wiki but I can't find one anywhere! I know i've seen it. Can someone help!?
6. No, i've been too busy mixing an on-going project, and i've been tracking myself on drums. It's something I anticipate for this thing I drum for, so I WILL get it working, and will be sure to report back after my next attempt it.
7. Use your demo CD and sync it up to loads of different clips from the video camera. It's a music video!! But yeh, the only real way of getting a good sound is to take feeds from the desk as well as at least a stereo pair of mics in the room. You can get fairly decent results with just a stereo mic or pair of mics in the room, but it's not going to be much better than the best built-in microphones on video-cameras IMHO.

Pitch Shift

You can use the wet ouput from a digitech whammy but I think this is generally a blended output. No other pedals could affect that. An XP-100 could acheive what you want, but really, the quality is going to be crap, you won't use it. I'd get used to swapping between basses and playing the same stuff on both.
9. A bass exciter will excite both of your basses, so you'll probably still want something to level them out.
Thats sounds like a good solution, I know Boss make one but are there any good ones in particular you could reccomend? Many thanks.
I have the boss one and it's fine. I've never tried another, an EQ is an EQ!! Although some "tone freaks" will go on about the quality of the buffer etc.
10. I would try them out in a shop before deciding that the tube is an issue. Personally, I always go for the cheaper option. I've not tried either pedal, but i'd love to play with the "Z pedal"!!
11. Well, I searched the marketplace for "auction" and couldn't find any moderated topics at all. Do deleted/locked threads not come up in searches?
12.
Just check that again, mate. Beat you by 9 days. If I honestly thought I was talking bullshit, I'd own to it. I'm not. And I agree, tBBC will be sorely missed.
Fine, I have more dots under my name so made an erroneous assumption. You wouldn't know anything about erroneous assumptions would you? EDIT: Didn't mean that to sound as bitchy as it does, sorry!
13.
.... I simply can't be arsed. The fact that there's nothing to be found in the guidelines is immaterial - it has been moderated on in the past. ....
If there's nothing in the guidelines, it's not against the rules and never has been and without finding an example (I've never seen anything and been on here longer) it looks like you're talking BS. If you're OK with that, fine. IF there were repeated examples of for sale threads being moderated for being an auction, I can totally understand the issue here, but I don't think that's the case and no-one is willing to prove otherwise. I'm just sad that tBBC got caught out by your erroneous statement so that now I can no longer be amused by him.
14. Lol, everyone should probably have checked the rules before they accused CK of breaking them!
15.
Sorry maybe I didn't explain properly: There's no mode that runs loop A return into the loop B send - you can't use it as two loops in series. That's what I meant.
It looks like you can on this pic, and on my LS-2, and i'm pretty sure i've done it before.
16. If all your missing is active level and EQ, then why don't you just use an EQ pedal. Use the volume to match the output level of your other bass, and use the EQ to match the active EQ on your other bass. I kow lots of people have this problem and use all kinds of expensive pre-amps and DIs, so I must be missing something.
17. How many channels do you want? You could build a wooden box with some wooden treadles and wire it up with some volume pots. It might work out cheaper, although I reckon you can get volume pedals for £15 or so.
18. Do you have any music software at all? Because you could do this very easily with any package that lets you create MIDI data.
19.
Cheeky. There's no mode on the LS-2 to put the loops in series, A -> B. There's also no mode to switch between one channel and both in parallel. I'd really need both of those things and I figured it'd be cheaper to just buy another OC-2.
I wasn't being cheeky, I meant it would be good if you could switch modes without turning the mode knob. I'm pretty sure there is an A->B mode, as well as the A+B mode.
20. It's sounds like you're not really in a band at the moment, you're still trying to put a band together. There's nothing wrong with that. If you leave this project, you'll just start trying to put another band together and probably ask the same people, so stick with it and look for some more people! Try the online wanted and available ads.
21.
Yes. Sometimes they don't even need to hear me play. Seriously!
Why would they with that hat and beard combo?
22.
Yeah sorry I meant with the OC-2 isolated in one side of the LS-2, where it can track well, and then mixing in a fuzz at the other side of the LS-2 is one of my favourite ways to use it. I also like OC-2 into fuzz though. I'm thinking about having two OC-2s on my board so I can have another one before the LS-2. Can't think of any other way to wangle it, unless I get a custom looper than can run the two loops either in parallel or series.
Wouldn't it be good if there was sort of two button controller to flip through the modes on the LS2 with your foot!
23. I used to use a heaphone jack splitter to take a passive spit before a two different distortions in parallel, and then have an ABY at the other end. All three sounded fine, even Y when one of the distortions was off, but Y was a bit louder. If you're going to have a buffered input at the start of each chain, why not just make a jack lead with loads of splits off it, plug each split into a seperate chain, put a volume pedal on the end of each chain and then plug the outs from the volume pedals into a little mixer, or maybe just another jack lead with loads of splits on it. This way you can select each chain with the volume pedal, and level them out if needs be by fine tuning the volume pedals.
