I have a schecter, I got it from the states from Ebay and i LOVE it. I also bought a brice 6 string from Ebay that's very nice.

A multi effects pedal to listen to through some half-decent headphones would be much more fun than a new amp!!

That IS a cool sound. I think a lot of that is down to the distortion on it though. I think he uses two dunlop wahs together? I can get similar tones out of my B2.1U, AND from my wah probe. I'm pretty sure he has some clean blended as well.

The loops can be run in series actually.

I like my zvex wah probe - it sounds great with a bit of distortion. There are some great wahs on the Digitech XP-100 as well. This probably isn't that helpful. I've never tried a conventional wah as these have been so good!

The display does let it down. I think they have a better display in the bigger models though.

I don't think a subscription is the way to go. I think perhaps the Donations link could be more prominent. I didn't realise it was there for my first few months. I've made a couple of contributions, and i'm sure others have as well, but then there are people who can't afford/don't want to pay, and I wouldn't want to lose them. It's not as though BC is in financial trouble is it? RE Social networking stuff - don't we have that in our personal profiles? The Wiki could be used more. I think some of it is down to not knowing how to use it. I have on a couple of occasions made long posts here or on other forums which I would have liked to put into the Wiki here, as well as other people's posts, but I don't know how! I did try once - can't remember what went wrong but something deffinitely did.

I've not tried this with bass, but it works well with guitar.......... Play in a silent room, listening through headphones, and record the acoustic sound of your electric bass with a condensor mic. It's a nice option to have when mixing IMHO. Has anyone tried this on bass?

I don't think Behringer do a blending pedal. The Boss LS-2 has a buffer in it, and some people feel that this "sucks tone" or is noisy. I have one and it's fine. I hadn't hear of the Radial pedal, just had a quick look on google and it seems to do what you're after. It doesn't give you the 2nd loop that the LS-2 has. It also has a buffer. Whether or not it's a better buffer than the LS-2 I wouldn't know. I use my LS-2 for blending clean, compressed signal with distorted signal, which you obviously couldn't do with the Radial pedal.

MArchall Jackhammer is a great pedal! It's good to see it get a mention. The EQ options make it really good for bass.

If you're happy with the 708 but want better quality, try a B2.1U!

I think the interface on the 708 is better than on the B2.1U so bear that in mind for the future! I might actually get a couple while I still can - I can always re-house it if I ever start gigging again.

Where's your night shot? I highly recommend you get a psu with daisy chaning and plenty of current output!!

I used the 707 one for years. The footwitches went dodgy so I added metal ones. It looked pretty f*cked but worked really well for years. As soon as the metal B2.1U came out I got one!

Sounds cool. Do you not miss a wah? I couldn't live without a wah pedal. Maybe you should try an XP-100? I'd lend mine to you if you were closer.

Why not? What wah is it Kev? And what's that DOD-alike OD? Get a whammy for your octave, it'll be more fun.

It is nice to be able to name patches, but even with my appalling memory, I manage with the B2.1U. I don't think i've ever used a wah that I liked on a multi-effects. I've not tried enough to make a sweeping statement, but suffice to say, using a standalone wah might be more pleasing to your ear! For OD, Chorus, Octave, Fuzz, and Ring Mod, I reckon the B2.1U has it covered, although some of the overdrive and fuzz models aren't great. If your patches on the 708 sound muddy, why not try to EQ them until they're right? If it ain't broke.......

Sorry!!! A patch on a multi effects pedal is a set of stored settings - so, you find a sound you like using as many, or a little effects as you like. Then, you save the sound you have. When you have saved it, your sound is called a patch. You can save lots of patches, and switch between then. "stomp box mode" (on the boss, not the zoom) is a mode which allows you to use the multiple footswitches on the unit as seperate effects pedals/boxes, rather than using them to switch between "patches". The patch switching i.e. the time taken to switch from one patch to another is seamless on the Zoom, but (i've heard) poor on the boss. Am I making sense?

I heard that the patch switching is too slow on the boss, but it has a "stomp box mode" which means you have 4 or 5 pedals rather than switching between patches, so if you fancy that mode, get the boss.

Then you'll have a better idea of what you want to upgrade to, and you might be able to sell the zoom for £40, but if not, it's only £40.
