1. This is the first time i've heard of of this amp. Looking at it, it's great value even without hearing it.
2. I would get your perfect sound using the zoom, and then buy pedals to do the same function as the modules you're using in the zoom. You might then regret it as the quality wont be much different to the Zoom and you'll have spent a load of money but....
3. If the pre-amp out is pre EQ and the only other outputs on your amp are for the speakers, I really wouldn't bother mucking about, just EQ it once it's recorded. Otherwise you'd need some sort of dummy speaker DI type thingy. Maybe someone will post about one!
4. Just out of interest, what are these worth? It looks very cool.
5. How's about, you find a warwick thumb that you like for less than £1k, then you tell me where to buy it, I buy it and then we swap.
6.
Open your eyes dude. It's there to be seen!
I can see the word "hype" in the thread title, but apart from that this is the only thread i've seen about it, and there's been no hype in this thread. Obviously i'm being stupid?
7.
The answer is more likely to be in adding another speaker and running the amp at 4 ohms, which is probably my next step. That way I can keep the sound I like and just get that bit more volume, I'm not sure whether to go for another 15 or a 2 x 10, or even a 4 x 10, but I don't want it to be too heavy and it needs to match the 15 for volume.
Or just get a very loud 4 ohm 1 x 15" cab?
8. Heh, Ferret - where is all this hype and hysteria? I've not read of any.
9. With pics I would be interested in the musicmaster.
10. Part of me is glad you got it going, but part of me is going to miss the ranting.
11. Heh, maybe you should write an idiot's guide and put it in the wiki!
12. I was really looking forward to this but had a c*** of a day trying to get my fecking car to start. It's working now but too late to go to the gathering. Balls!!! I'd love to see some pics of the gear that made it up there!?
13. For a good night, use alchohol to turn those tears into wife-beating rage.
14.
I was refering to mine, hence the wink. Although I did get my Ibanez from Academy of Sound. Route 66 hasn't gone bust,it's just moved to a smaller shop across the road.
Really? Oh, maybe I am confused. Last time I was there, Kays and Rythm house were both open, I didn't see any new shops or route 66 anywhere else, and they were gutting the old route 66 for the sex shop people.
15. They've got you by the package! Good luck getting it back. Let us know when you've set it all up and it wont work!
16.
I told them.
That's f*cking funny. You are a hard man! They could ransak your house while you're at work!
17.
Yeah.
How?
18.
they hate be because I'm constantly posting their rubbish through their letterbocks when they're closed after they fill up my wheely bin with their waste.
LOL Do they know it's you?
19.
There are at least another couple of 6 strings in Stoke
Where? The schecter I played in Rythm house, and the Tobias was in academy of sound. I've not been up to hanley recently. Is there anywhere else? I know route 66 went bust.
20. If the original is 0.78A then 0.8A will be fine.
21.
I think it's usually measured from centre to centre.............
Thanks. I might measure mine tonight to see if mine's tight or wide. I always thought it was wide, but 17mm seems like a big gap to me!
22.
My custom Shuker will have string spacing around 17mm. I prefer narrow string spacing it seems although its not as easy to pop. I can pop on the Spector without too much trouble.
How is that measured? From the centre of one string to the next is 17mm?
23.
You couldn't do that on my 6 string. Aircraft carrier comes to mind, but I love it!
I bet you I could! Mine are pretty wide and I have no problem playing a note on the B with my left thumb, and on the E with my 1st finger. I was starting to question myself while I visualised it, but I know I can do that as I used to do it in a song to alternate between a low 5th on the B, and a "power chord" in drop D.
24.
He means thin front to back (depth not width)
Ahh - misinterpretation due to my poor technique of having my thumb over the top instead of up the back of the neck.
25. I think so. 1000 Ma = 1 A as far as I know so you'd be fine. I'd look it up before you plug it in to be honest because my brain is untrustworthy.
