I think we would all agree that music can inspire musical creativity. I think everyone would agree that listening to a peice of music, and trying to/playing a peice of music are two quite different ways of looking at a song. Therefore it would only be logical to conclude that playing covers could inspire musical creativity. I think that (original, and covers) bands that tend to play the same set list over and over are limiting their creativity, as new inspiration can never be found in old (with relation to a specific person) music.

Sam - you must have been in contact with someone at SC to beleive your money has gone? I assumed you had already been down there, demanded your amp, and been refused?

I always assume that my GP has real reasons for everything but he just doesn't communicate very well. I'm probably being naive though because he failed to diagnose my grandad's stroke and (less seriously) my broken foot.

It's not just filters that will be effected by putting a comp before them, it's overdrives too. I would go: bass>tuner>dod>marshall>comp>exciter comp before exciter as compression can take some of your highs away! You'd have a nice little board there, but i'd need to add some more pedals, or a B2.1U for a phaser, different levels of overdrive, fuzz, pedal wah, digital delay etc.

It looks like the switch changes from OD to Fuzz. I think building a footswitch in instead would be a good idea, but there might be a bit of a volume difference as there's only one set of controls. Anyway, the switch should make it more versatile than the bass muff no?

That's not very far (for me). I shall inquire with my girlfriend to see if i'm free.

I have all the symptoms of CTS but my GP says it's not because he squoze my wrist and it didn't hurt much. I went to see osteopaths for a while, and they seemed really optimistic about it, but after 3 months they said there was nothing they could do, it looks like CTS in early stages, and in 5 years or so I could have surgery to sort it out, and it'd be fine. I don't know if a chiropractor would be any different? Or if i've been fobbed off by my GP? I know i'm jumping on the advice bandwagon, but if anyone has any to offer, it may also help the OP.

Why two outputs instead of a blend pot? It will annoy some and please others I guess.

How long would it take me to drive from stoke?

Well that's a blinding review. I doubt it has more routing capabilities on the mixer than cubase? Dood - the small footprint is cool. If I could actually afford to buy myself some usb memory I might do that instead of carrying my pc to and from the studio.

I think that any drive towards excellence is more a trait of a craftsman/the craftsman within the artist. IMHO an artist wants to create better and better art, but this could be worse and worse in other people's opinions, and they don't necessarily need to improve technical skill to improve art (in whoever's opinion).

Have a look in the manual. If you don't have it, you can (probably) download it. It should tell you which kind of footswitch is required. As far as brands..... they're all the same really, I would recommend you make one yourself and paint it pretty.

There is already a couple of threads about this I think? Regarding the footswitches - Yes, my down switch started f*cking up the other day and I don't think it's going to get reliable. I had this with my old plastic zoom unit. I replaced the crappy footbuttons with proper footswitches and it worked fine, so i'll probably do that with the B2.
