1. Heh, BBC, you have such bad taste! Guns 'n' Roses!!! Dolly Parton!!!!!! I still think you'd love the premature ejaculators. We'll have the album finished in a couple of weeks. I'll post you a free one in return for at least 12 months amusing forum posts.
 2. Didn't we already have this discussion and everyone pretty much agreed that we should have an "enhanced feedback system" whatever that is, and that the rest should be left to buyer's discretion. Some people are willing to take a risk, others aren't, some people come here to be part of a community, some people just browse the for sale section. I think the fact that it's in a totally seperate section means that there's no real problem.
 3.
Hi Ewan Don`t worry about the price on this one, it was owned by a FUNKY ASS bassist and has appeared on numerous recordings, in fact it should be going for double the price! " Oh you know i`m joking" but seriously, this bass can stand toe to toe with most, i think he`d still have it but doesn`t have the room due to having way to many Sadowsky`s. You can`t beat a sei! "as long as it has a Sadowsky pre-amp fitted that is" and this one has sooo BUY,BUY,BUY,BUY,BUY.
What's the deal with this? You signed up today to make one post about a bass of which you have some knowledge of previous owners? Obviously i'm not accusing anyone here, there's always an explaination, but it does look like the OP signed up under another name to plug his sale.
 4. The Premature Ejaculators!
 5.
Well Mr Yorke, I can see through your act. The whole mock-autism thing is offensive to those who actually have to live with autism, and if you care so much for the environment, stop touring, stop making records and stop living.
Pure BBC Gold I reckon he's genuinley weird you know. His music's weird enough for me to beleive the "act".
 6.
Sorry, its not like me to hijack a thread and turn it into a "I Hate" rant.
Yes, quite out of character! My point was that Radiohead have sold a hell of a lot of albums, and they probably wouldn't have done if they didn't write music that people like listening to. Why is Thom Yorke Pretentious by the way? I've never seen any interviews or anything.
 7.
Thom Yorke needs a slap. Pretentious, wonky eyed git. Try writing some music that people actually like listening to for a change.
Do you buy albums you don't like listening to? I suppose it's another form of your masochistic kinky-freak streak!
 8.
I got rid of my '71 short scale about a year back, but unfortunately it still rings in my ears on a regular basis. It's very loud and trebly with a tendency to snap. However I'm sure that if the body, neck and hardware were replaced, she would be perfectly serviceable.
I know it's a difficult mod to do, but try just swapping the head and leaving everything else intact, I reckon that'd sort it.
 9. I don't have any 5s to swap, but i'd love to see a pic of this!
 10. You can buy no logo on there as well!
 11.
Well I've got my own practice room so whenever anyone wants to meet up. just outside Manchester in Stockport So same applies
ahhhh, that'd be nicer. Our room is dingey as f*ck.
 12. I rent a large room on an industrial estate in the stoke area - 1 hr from brum or manchester. We could dwell there on a sunday and play as loud as we want! I can supply around 35 different pedals and 1 average rig. If a few people are up for it, this might be fun! There's also a drum kit and guitar amp+cab so we could jam on whatever instruments we like. Oh, and I have a recording set up there so we can tape some samples/jams. This isn't a firm offer - I always say things like this and then never find the time - but if people are really up for it and keep me reminded it could happen!
 13. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! Good luck with the auction. It's such a shame I can't justify buying this
 14.
If you know the owners, you could modifiy a sponge so to speak.
Sorry if this is stupid, but what does that mean?
 15. I've heard about these systems that cut the stage power and such when the level gets too loud. That seems like an obviously stupid idea to me. Couldn't they just have a warning light? How could this possibly work on average level rather than peak? I want venues to play music quieter, but I don't want a band to be cut off mid song. Incidentally I wouldn't mind if they cut short "panic at the disco" or whatever sh*t they're playing at my local "rock" club (which is not really a rock club at all )
 16. is it 85dB strict limit, or 85db average or what? You'd think 90 would be ok for gigs? Maybe not. Still, I am sick of going to see bands play and having to put ear plugs in. What's the point in having it that loud? And going to clubs where you have to point at your drinks, you can't talk to anyone, and as soon as you step outside you're deafened by the ringing in your ears.
 17. sensible? THIS IS POLITICAL CORRCTNESS GONE MAD! IT'S ALL BRUSSELS FAULT!!!! Does this legislation effect bands venues, pubs and clubs? If so, when the f*ck will they turn their music down so that I can order a drink, or god forbid have a conversation!
 18.
Aye, I don't mind the odd bit of U2 but Oasis are IMHO quite dreadful....

Yo can stick your opinion where the sun downt shyyyyiiiiiiiiiiine.
19.
......I'm sure that when Robbie has finished with her she will be able to handle me and my limited skills......
I see you're continuing the general theme of this thread with gusto!
 20. I've seen a few bands in my time that basically sounded exactly like thier CD, and I find this utterly boring. I'm not sure what the cause of this is though. Too much sound processing, too much rehearsal, too apprehensive to improvise a bit? I don't know.
 21.
With regard to inputs, was thinking 1 bass, 1 guitar, 1 keyboards, 1 vocals, 1 bass drum, 1 snare, 2 ambient for cymbals/toms
That sounds good, so you only need 8 pre-amps and an interface that can accept 8 analogue ins. Or you could get a rack of pres with ADAT out, and get an interface with ADAT in. For cheap pre-amps you could look for a used mixer with inserts on each channel. For a cheap interface, I really love my Maudio Delta 10/10 Lt. For mics, get a large diaphram dynamic mic for the kick, a sm57 for the snare, 57 for guitar, DI bass, DI keys, Pop shield and 57/58/some cheap large diaphram condenser for vox, and then for your two room mics I like sm58s, but I don't know if anyone would agree with me. If you get them in the right position, they don't pick up much bleed, and they seem to cover the frequency range of the drum kit. I get a nice stereo image/sound with a pair of 58s (cheap copies though).
 22. Well, I realise that i'm in the minority, but.... A small bit of overdrive will give you the limiting you need when slapping. It'll also give your treble a boost (opposite to most compressors) which means it'll cut through more. I tend to find that some people's slap tone is either really biting - too harsh on the ears, or it's too "squelchy" or just plain thin. If you listen to old funksters they're all using valve amps that are adding just a bit of overdrive. Anyway, just my humble opinion!
 23. I'm ashamed to say that i've not listened to much of in rainbows yet. I loved them on johnathon ross. I've loved Radiohead since OK computer - my mates all loved Pablo Honey and The Bends but they're a bit stale for me - even though there's some great songs on there. Hail to the Theif, Amnesiac, Kid A, and OK computer are all my favorite albums (I don't have a "favorites chart", but I listen to these a lot).
