Hi everyone, I am selling my Stingray in trans orange. Overall in mint condition with one lacquer chip on top of the head stock. Bought it on eBay about 4 years ago but I believe it used to belong to two other forum members previously (that was before I was a basschat member). I'm sure they will recognise the bass if they saw it. My one and only Stingray but definitely a very good one. I believe the pickup was changed to a Nordstrand MM 4.2 before I bought it. Still sounds like a good stingray should! It also comes with an abalone pickguard and original hard case which will be included in the sale. Pics can be found here https://www.flickr.com/photos/127445562@N05/sets/72157646788499168/ Inspection and trials are welcomed. I commute between Suffolk and Birmingham so just let me know if you live in the area and fancy having a go at it. The bass has just been professionally set up and plays beautifully. Any questions or picture requests please let me know. I'm also having a clear out of few of my basses: a Fender American Vintage P bass in blonde, a Fender JV P bass fiesta red and [s]a celluloid tortoise shell P bass pickguard[/s] for sale so please check them out. Hi everyone, I am selling my Fender AV '57 Precision bass in see through blonde. Overall in good used condition with few bumps and few lacquer chips. The lacquer had reacted to the guitar stand so there is a very light pink hue going on at the bottom of the bass. There is a small lacquer chips on the neck pocket which happened when the neck was removed for truss rod adjustment. Nothing serious though. Some rusts on the bridge saddles but all parts are in fully working order. I traded this bass from GazWills here on basschat few years ago and the condition hasn't changed since I bought it since it's always been kept in a hard case when not used. No original hard case nor pickup and bridge covers I'm afraid as I only got the bass when I it was traded few years back. Built in 2005. Seriously nice bass with nice thumping P bass sound. A little heavier than the usual alder combination but it is expected since the body is ash. Pics can be found here https://www.flickr.c.../127445562@N05/ Inspection and trials are welcomed. The bass will be professionally set up before passing on to the next owner. Any questions or picture requests please let me know. I'm also having a clear out of few of my basses: a Fender American Vintage P bass in blonde, [s]a trans orange MM Stingray 3 EQ 4 strings[/s] and [s]a celluloid tortoise shell P bass pickguard[/s] for sale so please check them out. Hi everyone, I am selling my beloved Fender JV Precision bass in the rare Fiesta red colour. Overall in great condition for a 30 years old instrument with minor bumps and few lacquer chips. Nothing serious though. Not sure what wood it is (could be alder, sen ash or basswood) but it surely sounds good! The input jack has been replaced as the old one wasn't working anymore and one pickguard screw is missing but I'm sure that it is easily replaced. Highly recommend these Fender JVs (as many of you here would agree) in terms of play and built quality. Bought this awhile back and thought that I'd never sell it (don't we all!) but need to thin my herd so unfortunately this and few other of my basses are going. Therefore cash sale only please and no trades!! Inspection and trials are welcomed. I commute between Suffolk and Birmingham so just let me know if you live in the area and fancy having a go at it. I prefer cash on collection as you get to try the bass before committing yourself and plus it's always good to have a chat. I will also post the bass at buyer's cost/risk if requested. The bass will be professionally set up before passing on to the next owner. Any questions or picture requests please let me know. I'm also having a clear out of few of my basses: a Fender American Vintage P bass in blonde,[s] a trans orange MM Stingray 3 EQ 4 strings[/s] and [s]a celluloid tortoise shell P bass pickguard[/s] for sale so please check them out. Thanks for looking!

Hello people, Just wanted to share to you all my brief experience with Hiscox case company. I recently purchased a Hiscox STD-EBS (on eBay) for my Sei Flamboyant bass; unfortunately the body compartment was a little too big for the Flamboyant and the bass was moving around inside the case when carrying the case around. I then emailed Hiscox explaining my problem and if I could buy any extra padding for the bass… I did not hear anything from them at all and 3 days later I received this package from Hiscox full of extra paddings! So just wanted to say well done Hiscox! Good case, good company and would deal with them again! Cheers

Or in this case by £5K! I remember the asking price was around £4k last month. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-1962-Precision-Bass-Fender-Pre-CBS-62-Precision-Bass-Guitar-/140909059340?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item20ced59d0c
Yes it is. I use one that came with one of my Gus basses - I took the free gig bag when I got my Sei since I already had 4 Hiscox cases and I couldn't see myself needing any more. It has some extra padding where the top and bottom horns are which seems to hold the Sei perfectly in place.
Ah sweet, looks like Hiscox it is then! Many thanks for the help.

Cheers for the reply. Ah ok, didn't know that Hiscox sells extra padding. I should get in touch with them then. Is it the Hiscox STD-EBS that you are using with your Sei Flamboyant?

Hello people, I'm looking for a hardcase to house my Sei Flamboyant 5 headless and was wondering if you could suggest any? I have been looking around and the one that came into my mind is the Hiscox one (in terms of quality and price) but the Sei doesn't seem to fit particularly well and the bass is moving around inside the case I have also been looking around for a Warwick flight case but have the feeling that it might be over the top and the upper horn of the Flamboyant might not fit the body compartment. Can any of you who owns the same bass or similar shape suggest a reasonably priced hardcase? Thanks a million

Cheers for that. I have been to Cardiff guitars few times before but only to sort out my guitar (when I used to play it). I'll give him a bell at some point then. Thanks

Hello people, Looking for a reliable bass tech around Cardiff/South west area to sort my Sei bass out. Would go all the way to the Gallery in London if I lived closer but that's not really the case... If you know any please let me know! Thanks a lot
