[quote name='ben_eat_pie' post='590734' date='Sep 5 2009, 02:33 PM']Hi there,
I'm moving to London on the 13th of Sept and am desperate to get a band playing/jamming/gigging as soon as possible.
I have no particular style or genre I would like to stick to but these are the kind of things I'm into:
Blues/folk/barbershop
Funk/Mowtown
Distorted + Loud music
I also play a little bit of acoustic guitar and try and sing - so there's potential for any interested bassists to join me.
I've had a fair bit of gigging and recording experience for my age, and know my way around a PA - so gigging flexible in the sense that Pub gigs will surfice, busking is awesome, and if we get the chance stadium tours are possible too.... ha!
Let me know what you're thinking!

We get regular radio play, have headlined shows in various parts of the UK, have label interest and are looking to have a busy new year; a small article in Kerrang, a track with Classic Rock Presents Prog magazine, tonnes of gigs and tours etc. We will be releasing our debut EP next month and have been asked to premier it with an 'interview' on Total Rock Radio (somewhen in the next few weeks).
Basically, you wouldn't be joining at the struggling stage of getting members, writing the first songs, recording etc - because we are all ready and I am sure this project is going to do well. However, we have already started writing the album - so it would be great to have a bassist's input with writing etc if you find that stuff fun? And we hope to record the album in the Summer.
Anyway man, check out the stuff on the myspace and if you are interested we can send you Guitar Pro files
