    Hi Mate, i m interested in this. Have a MM stingray thats around 7 years old and virtually never played, I think its still got the plastic on the scratchplate, been ages since I had it out of the case. the colour is natural and i think the fretboard is maple, let me know if its of any interest or if you want any pics Cheers BB

    Cheers lads, I never doubted it was real or built anywhere other than the states. Just every other 78 ive seen has the made in USA on the headstock.

    Hi all, i purchaed a 1978 P Bass from a guy around 5 years ago. the bass had been refinished by a professional of some sort, it was originally sunburst. The guitar is defo a genuine fender I have had it in bits and teh stamps etc are all there, just the feel and the sound tell you immediately that its a Fender. The only problem is that the made in USA does not appear on the headstock?? the bass has a S8 serial numbeer etc. any ideas?? Thanks in Advance. Ballbag

    Hmmm Manchester to Woking... 3.5 hrs there, 3.5K dropped, 3.5hrs back. 45 year old piece on the passenger seat. VERY tempting!
