1. I'm certain you'll regret this.
2. It's a lot of money but it's also a hell of a lot of bass! Looks aren't exactly my style but the craftsmanship looks top notch!
3.
Yes it looks like its been posted with myhermes...
Ha!
4. Always regret selling mine. good luck with the sale
5. Saw a good number of actual MM Stingrays sell for not much more than that!
6. editing my comment due to realising it does seem a wee bit iffy.
7.
I mailed him asking to buy it saying I'd send a box and bubble wrap. I've had no answer.
Maybe thought you were one of the standard "send to my cousin in Nigeria" type folks?
8. If I had a box to send it in I'd offer to go pick it up and send it out to whoever wanted it
9. I'm another one who can't play with a plectrum. I wish I would but I just can't do it. I'm sloppy and get a sore wrist when I try to use a pick. bad technique? Most certainly.
10. Haven't played one but I am yet to hear a good comment about them.
11.
He played this for two months or so, surely doesn't command this kind of price? He has also basically said in his little piece that this bass was only used because it sounded different from his other basses, so you won't sound like primus with this?! Crazy!
Wouldn't sound like Primus with any bass (unless you are Les) imo!
12. someone buy this. It's haunting me!
13. I'm half tempted to ask for more info to see what response I get.
14. I always take my phone everywhere but when I play a gig I always put it on flight mode. It's easier than turning the thing off then back on again.
15. Maybe worth sending warwick an email with the specs and they may know! Seems quite a unique streamer!
16.
Hi everyone! The plan for this has changed slightly.... It's not just the bass that is going on tour! It's us!! The two of us will be planning a trip (in a camper van) around the UK visting jam nights. gigs, guitar shops, even visiting you personally if you like!! This way you get to try more instruments and chat with us personally whilst having a brew or a beer! The dates and destinations still need to be worked out but we're really looking forward to it!! See you all soon! Cheers Chris
Sounds pretty brilliant really. Here's hoping you'll visit Scotland
17. Used to have the Boss GT-10B, fantastic bit of kit but personally I also preferred having individual pedals.
18. I say keep it for a while longer. The Warwick will do things the jazz can't do and vice versa. Warwick second hand values aren't fantastic either (for the buyer)
19. Why don't you take it off and check? It takes 5 minutes...
20. I'm another one for the 'if I buy something new I want it to look new'. I wouldn't mind if I played a bass for years and years and it ended up worn out looking but I'd like to know that it was me that done it from years of loving the bass. Not someone in a workshop with some sanding paper. If it's your thing though then go for it.
21. Just done a part exchange of 2 Warwick basses with Marcus. There was a bit of a delay on my side regarding sending the bass out to him (I had already received his bass) but he was totally understanding about it all and now has the bass with him. Top bloke and would happily deal with again in the future Cheers again Marcus!
22. I don't really use the B string as an anchor (maybe about 30% of the time?), I tend to still use the pickups for this. I do however love having the Low B on the bass even if it doesn't really get used all that often. I say go for it. Worst case scenario you sell it on and stick to 4 stringers.
23. Didn't buy anything from Andrew however I posted in General discussion about mono straps as my bass was causing me shoulder pain. he then said he had a strap that would help it and offered to send it to me. I then traded said heavy bass and got a lighter one. messaged saying I didn't need the strap anymore but thanks for the offer. he sent it anyway! I have to say, my Warwick streamer now feel weightless! Thanks again!
24.
Wow! Only been gone a day - lots of content. Ironically, that was the number!!!! Then a random number was picked and once started it took me 3 or 4 bars to twig what the matter was. I can see from the posts that I'm not the only one!!! Hi. I can play anything with even numbers. . . . . . 6 and 12 guitar, 4, 8 and twelve bass but a five string confuses the **** out of me. Maybe I'm just too old school or I'm not clever/patient enough. I had one 5 string . . . . . . . I don't have it any more. Curious - does anyone play slither on a 5, with ease? Cheers.
never tried it (either on a 5 or a 4 tuned to D.) But I may try later on...
25.
Thanks, much appreciated. I've now touched it up as best as I can and I'm going to stop fiddling, it'll never be perfect but it's been a nice, simple and cheap upgrade. So finally.....
looks pretty damn nice. I'm contemplating sanding the Warwick I'll be getting (hopefully) tomorrow but have no real clue of there's anything I should keep in mind while doing it. any words of wisdom would be appreciated as you done a great job on the Ibanez!
