1. +1 for the combination between picking and fretting hand being used.
2. Just noticed that comment. Pm'd!
3. As a good friend (and very good drummer) said to me in his broad edinburgh-esque accent "Never play wi sh*te"
4. Dont know about it helping learners but after playing it I do think it could help! Good little piece of fun too if I'm honest
5. urgh.
6.
It's tiny!
Thats what she said. Nomatter how much I wish to be taken seriously in life i cant pass up a good 'ol penis joke.
7. Price too high?
8. bumpity.
9. Bought this bass a while back when I was in a (somewhat) mellow indie-ish band and since leaving that, Ive just not touched it which is a shame. Someone may as well get the use out of it, better than it collecting dust! So here's my Spector Piezo 5 string. There is a small crack or dent in the finish around the input jack (which I've taken a photograph of), apart from that there are no dents or anything that I can see. Weight is 8lbs 9oz according to bass directs website. 35" scale, Rosewood fingerboard, 24 frets, quilted maple top EMG HZ passive pickup with a Fishman Piezo bridge. 2 tone knobs and 2 volume knobs. I love this bass but sadly I tried a Musicman Sterling yesterday and have decided I love that more. Any questions just ask and I'll answer as quick as possibly (usually pretty quickly as I'm always on the interwebs). Looking for what I paid for it which is £275 and I don't have a gig bag or a case sadly (sorry)
10. I cound 4 to 5 easy. Infact I found 5 easier from the beginning. Will soon (credit rating permitting) be going bacm to a 4. Could be interesting.
11. Pump. I mean bump.
12. I know I said this on the third but I will actually do my best to upload photos soon. bump
13. I'd rather enjoy it fully than stress out about playing 2 sets.
14. I'm not embarrassed by what I listen to, it's why I listen to them! There are plenty of bands I listen to which would get me weird looks if others heard them though.
15. Will try and upload photos tomorrow
16. Bump
17. To the top. Or bottom if your screen is upside down.
18.
+1 I also use the ER20s there really good especially for the price
Same here. Lost a pair one time. Less than 10 minutes later ordered a new pair. Cheap, pretty comfortable and no ringing after rehearsals.
19. Bought this a few months back just before christmas but since then I think I've played it for a total of 20 hours and I don't really have the time right now to learn how to use the thing properly so it is getting regretfully put on here. alas. Black OLP Musicman 2 with white pickguard and black thumbrest. As far as I can see there is only one ding on it and it's on the back and maybe 7-8mm in diameter. Can't get photo's uploaded but can e-mail them if needed. I don't have a case at all unfortunately so sale in person is most definitely preferred. £140 Photos : http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/olp-musicman-2-fretless/1009689251 Cheers, Cameron
20.
You're from Carluke - is that not even more weird The sound you end up with by dialling out any odd resonances is "your sound" Havin a laugh with where you live is a good old Scottish tradition. I'm from Motherwell and live up near Biggar so i shouldn't make fun of anyone Dave
I agree. People from motherwell should be the recipiant of most jokes.
21.
A friend of mine did some backstage work at the former NEC and caught Mr Fieldy relieving himself into a one of the lighting rig flight case. This has coloured my opinion of him somehat.
He used to be really bad (they all did) due to alcohol/drug abuse. As far as I'm aware only one of them even drinks anymore and nowhere near as much as they used to.
22. Ah yes. The wierd side of YouTube, we meet again.
23.
I'll have it. PM'ed
Good choice sir.
24.
Well I'm a frequent visitor to Wolvs' Civic so this is equally as tempting...
All I can say is I love mine and if it werent for my lack of £200 I would buy this despite already owning one!
25.
What's the difference between this and the current K5 apart from, obviously, colour/finish?
Weight and they sound a bit different I believe. If it wasnt for me already owning one of these I would have bought this one by now. Even travelling to Wolverhampton in a few weeks.
