1. Or Jeff Beck, for that matter. Most of the others have been in highly influential bands in their genres and are worth celebrating. Its amazing but it's still very difficult for female musicians to get ahead in the industry. Just go to any night in any rock/indie venue in the country and count the female musicians - it's never even close to 50/50. Of course the reasons are many and complex, but anything that celebrates them and potentially inspires more is a good thing.
2. My Antex one is great too, a vast improvement on my previous bog standard Marlins one.
3. I sold mine recently after getting a Fusion 550, my dream amp. No regrets so far, though there really isn't a lot between them, tone or power-wise. I reckon I'll miss its portability when I have the next run of gigs.
4. Bass guitar magazine is reporting on Twitter than James Jamerson Jr has died.
5. And I've learned half the set. The first set. It'll be fine....
6. As new rack ears for a Gallien Krueger MB Fusion, fits the other MB series heads too. £25 delivered. You can see them in the pic below.
7. Dinosaur Jr at the Mean Fiddler in the early 90s I think I refused to go see Mascis again and when I finally succumbed 16 or so years later at the Cockpit in Leeds he was just as bad. Never again.
8. Good to see you aboard Andy.
9. On Hold until Sunday.
10. There's a GK 2001 RB for sale on here. I'm pretty sure it can do 2 x 4 ohm cabs as it has 2 channels.
11. My Gallien Krueger MB Fusion, complete with rack ears, is up for sale. It's a 500W, Class D amp with 3 preamp valves. Considered by many to be one of the finest Class D amps. I found it never wanted for volume when paired with one or two 8 ohh Barefaced Compact cabs, and with my TKS S212 (4 ohm). The tone palette is very versatile, from clean hi-fi to the famed GK "growl" - or at least a version of it. I'm only selling because I've moved aware from Class D and replaced it with a GK Fusion 550. My back won't thank me! I've never had any problems with it, and done about 12-18 gigs a year with it for the last 3 years since I bought it. It's been kept in a rack flightcase since I bought it, and is in excellent condition. The rack flightcase is also for sale here. I'm selling it complete with the rack ears for £400, delivered in the UK. I'd be happy to sell the rack ears separately for £25 delivered in the UK, and the amp without them for £375 delivered. Collection from Harrogate is also welcome, and we can discuss delivery in Yorkshire. Any questions, fire away. 12. Only heard them in passing really, but they're going to be my Spotify listening of choice on the bus this week.
13.
Two top football grounds
Goodison Park and....can't think....um....oh yeah, Prenton Park. You're right! I went to Liverpool fresh off the boat from NZ in 1987 and did the Beatles tourist thing. It was cheap and cheerful, cheesy, and we loved it. Liverpool was a bit of a dump back then, but there's been so much investment in the city centre over the years, its actually a decent city now, well worth a visit.
