1. And I've learned half the set. The first set. It'll be fine....
2. As new rack ears for a Gallien Krueger MB Fusion, fits the other MB series heads too. £25 delivered. You can see them in the pic below.
3. Dinosaur Jr at the Mean Fiddler in the early 90s I think I refused to go see Mascis again and when I finally succumbed 16 or so years later at the Cockpit in Leeds he was just as bad. Never again.
4. Good to see you aboard Andy.
5. There's a GK 2001 RB for sale on here. I'm pretty sure it can do 2 x 4 ohm cabs as it has 2 channels.
6. My Gallien Krueger MB Fusion, complete with rack ears, is up for sale. It's a 500W, Class D amp with 3 preamp valves. Considered by many to be one of the finest Class D amps. I found it never wanted for volume when paired with one or two 8 ohh Barefaced Compact cabs, and with my TKS S212 (4 ohm). The tone palette is very versatile, from clean hi-fi to the famed GK "growl" - or at least a version of it. I'm only selling because I've moved aware from Class D and replaced it with a GK Fusion 550. My back won't thank me! I've never had any problems with it, and done about 12-18 gigs a year with it for the last 3 years since I bought it. It's been kept in a rack flightcase since I bought it, and is in excellent condition. The rack flightcase is also for sale here. I'm selling it complete with the rack ears for £400, delivered in the UK. I'd be happy to sell the rack ears separately for £25 delivered in the UK, and the amp without them for £375 delivered. Collection from Harrogate is also welcome, and we can discuss delivery in Yorkshire. Any questions, fire away. 7. Only heard them in passing really, but they're going to be my Spotify listening of choice on the bus this week.
8.
Two top football grounds
Goodison Park and....can't think....um....oh yeah, Prenton Park. You're right! I went to Liverpool fresh off the boat from NZ in 1987 and did the Beatles tourist thing. It was cheap and cheerful, cheesy, and we loved it. Liverpool was a bit of a dump back then, but there's been so much investment in the city centre over the years, its actually a decent city now, well worth a visit.
9. Nothing Rhymed never fails to make me think of my late Dad. That whole album is great.
10. Saw They Might Be Giants recently at the Brudenell. Lots of fun and they were great musicians. I wasn't familiar with much of their material but enjoyed it nonetheless. Next up, That f***ing Tank with Esper Scout in support.
11. Its interesting reading Mike Watt's various tour blogs (see here, scroll down to the tour diaries) - as Gareth says ,when in Europe he's often very much at the mercy of what's been hired for a tour...even when touring the Stooges.
12. I've certainly sold a couple of things to people who have posted wanted ads. My own wanted ads haven't been successful though.
13. They Might Be Giants, tonight at the Brudenell. I know nothing about them really, apart from the Birdhouse single, but have been listening to their stuff over the last couple of days. There's some really nice bass playing. Looking forward to it.
