  1. The Zoom or similar will work. The H4 (I think) which I have, has stereo mics, and two XLR inputs, with separate volume controls. The simplest option is to take a DI feed from your bass amp or a different pedal, plug into one of the inputs and mis that and the stereo mics, plugging your IEMs directly into the headphones out of the Zoom. No need for a P2. If possible you can take a feed from the desk and plug that into the other input and mix as little or as much as that into it. How effective it will be will depend on how effectively the IEMs block out ambient sound from the room.
  2. Colin kindly got in touch in response to my wanted ad, and sold me his P16M. Very well packaged, sent promptly, and excellent Comms. Thanks mate.
  3. My IEM journey so far. I've done gigs using methods 1 and 2 below, cheaply using AS-10 earpieces and P2. Sometimes I use the Zoom, which has the advantage of me tweaking my bass volume and getting some ambient room sound too. All wired so far. I think my next step is to move to no 3, and buying a P16M. This will still be wired, but give me more control of the mix (an iPad is too fiddly for me) and a stereo mix (if I've understood correctly). If that goes well, when funds allow I'll move to wireless. I'll also upgrade my earphones when funds allow. The band all play through the PA (a Behringer X18) and everyone else is on mono wireless IEMs. We gig two to four times a month. Any thoughts/suggestions?
  4. @EmmettC is after one of these I think, Andy.
  5. I bought a wireless unit from Martin and the whole transaction has been excellent, a thoroughly recommended basschatter.
  6. Wal bought my session cake thingy, all good, great Comms, wholly trustworthy basschatter.
  7. Alex bought a couple of bits from me. Fast payer, excellent comms, thoroughly trustworthy basschatter.
  8. I have two of these very useful practice tools for sale, £20 each posted in the UK. Both are as new and come with boxes. Use them to practice along with an audio source (1/8" aux in) and chain them together for use by more than one player.
  9. Thanks. I meant to say P2. I'm currently 2 gigs in with a band that have everything running through the desk, and everyone using IEMs. Everyone else is wireless and I'm using the ubiquitous P2 and KZ-10 set up. My main frustration at the moment is getting the mix right, currently it's being left to the band leader. I think my order of future investment is: P16M - this will give me better control over the mix, and (if I understand correctly) stereo. Then better IEMs - probably moulded, which will give me better sound quality Then wireless - a clearer stage. I might not get this far. Does all that sound sensible?
  10. I'm thinking of doing the same. Is the Phones out on the P16M enough to drive my IEMs or would I need to continue to use my P1? I'd probably continue to used wired IEM for the time being.
  11. I've just popped a cheap Recording King Lap Steel in the classifieds if anyone's interested in giving it a go.
  12. If ever you've wanted to try lap steel, this is a nice way to give it a go cheaply. Good used condition, with a good quality bar. It's this model : https://www.recordingking.com/lapsteels I don't have the original box but can work something out for UK postage at buyer's cost. Collection from Harrogate welcome, and I can potentially deliver in Yorkshire.

  13. I've never gigged this one so is in very good condition, a few minor scuffs, but totally sound. This is the model... https://www.skb-racks.co.uk/shop/unit-height:3-unit--3u3he-3ru Collect from Harrogate or can possibly deliver in Yorkshire. Postage available at cost.
  14. @2elliot yes it is an SKB shallow case, and the power lead and speaker cable fit, just.
  15. I always risk the ire of the OCD folk when I post this pic, but yes the Fusion 550 is the best I've ever played .
  16. Sister bass to my Limelight fretless jazz (0202). These are great basses, someone is in for a treat.
  17. Boss WL-50 Wireless transmitter / receiver. This works perfectly and has never let me down. There's velcro on the bottom and a couple of small marks on one side but otherwise in excellent condition. I'm pretty sure I've got the original box. Price includes postage in the UK.

  18. Korg Pitchblack Pro Rackmount Tuner in excellent condition, complete with box and original power supply. Only selling because I've moved away from using rack gear. Happy to post or deliver in Harrogate/Leeds.
  19. I agree, the sound is excellent. I'd keep it if I wasn't moving away from a rack setup.
  20. I got one of these (Microbass II) recently and am very impressed. I'm using it for my ampless setup and it's excellent. My band mates says it is the best bass sound they've ever had in their in-ears. You might get more interest if you correct the typo in the title, some people searching for Microbass might miss this.
  21. This excellent 19" 1 unit preamp, DI, drive for sale (it's the middle unit in the pics). It's in excellent condition and works without problem. Sounds brilliant. I'm moving to a non-rack setup, with an EBS Microbass as my preamp, so this is surplus to requirements. I have the original box and am happy to post at buyer's expense. Also happy to deliver around Harrogate or Leeds, possibly further.
